I’ve spent hundreds of hours decorating strongholds in SWTOR and will probably spend just as much time decorating in this game. Ion even said during his interview at GamesCom, they looked at every other housing system in the genre and tried to take the best of everything. So I’m really excited to not just spend my time setting the house up but then also inviting people over and hosting RP events with the guild. I’ve been waiting almost 20 years for this and I can’t believe it’s almost here.

Player housing is optional, the Bruto mount sales is what payed for player housing.
Ive no real personal interest in the system but it is clear players want and will enjoy it.
Worse case im sure given my usual interest in high end content I will have patterns to sell
This feature will literally add hours if not days of gameplay for me. I will legit be sitting in my house decorating it and having fun longer than raid progression pushers would spend time in a raid that season. On top of the ability to decorate and express myself through player housing, they are adding decor to old content so like “go get exalted with the warsong front for a warsong banner” and stuff like that, they want it to be like it was always there so all the way from classic to legit every expansion will have decor to hunt for meaning reasons to go into old content to do things meaning more time to spend.
This is content to the casual, to the RPer, to those that have communities and friends, to the people who want to be immersed in a world and not just raid log. I’m sorry that you hate this game so much that you can only raid log as raiding is the only real content you do or pvp which ever high end game has you hooked to cause you to ignore everything else. But millions play this game and i believe millions will enjoy this feature regardless of all the loud mouth doom sayers.
And if thats not enough to make you sit back and rethink your actions then have ye: I’m glad raiders are losing a raid tier ya deserve it with how hostile you are! (Even though you really aren’t)

Nope, it’s just a time and money wasting exercise, however only if you are a dedicated RP might you consider this genuine game play
Thankfully, some of us are dedicated role players, and we are finally getting content and a place to create more content for ourselves. The expansion is still gonna have just as many seasons and just as much PVE and PVP content. Not even sure why anybody’s making a big deal of it. We were already standing around in the city doing our own thing now we’re going to be standing around in our houses doing our own thing. We’re not going to affect the instance queue one way or the other.

Because they’re mad that blizzard isn’t devoting time to making more Mythic + Content, which is to say, not actual new Content just harder versions of Pre existing content. Not sure “Fight this same boss, but slightly harder” counts as “new Content” but hey, if it makes the “Numbers go up” crowd complacent to run along in the Skinner Box then good for them I guess?

Well for the last 21 years PVE and PVP have gotten plenty of content. They can just sit down and be quiet while we get to enjoy our content for the first time in two decades. They have the same number of zones, same number of dungeons, same number of bosses, same number of delves (which I am actually looking forward to), and all the same great action. Meanwhile, we finally get something that we’ve been waiting on since classic alpha. So honestly, I don’t care how much they lose their minds and have a panic attack over some imaginary shortage because we’re going to be decorating. The only way to decorate is to get out in the world and get stuff. But most of them are very narrow and single-minded and don’t actually look at the larger picture.

These people also hate delves, because Delves aren’t content they want to do, and they whine that it offers an opportunity for people who have no interest in wasting their time sweating it out in mythic+ a way to gear up without going into Mythic.

I mean at the end of the day my delve gear can only go to 710. If I want to get to 723 I have to go do mythic plus. But I don’t want to do mythic plus because I enjoy my solo content where I can take my time and do my own thing. I can AFK and delve for 10 minutes, make a sandwich, have a vape, and come back to the action. If I do mythic, plus I either stay on the move or I suffer the consequences.

I don’t agree with the op, since player housing is just as much a part of the content as, for example, pet battles, but why does everything in this forum always get flagged right away? xD

I love how these threads, along with everyone who always said it’s just a loud minority who wants the housing / entitled players etc, were ALL invalidated later with housing & the rampant hype that was obviously established throughout the MAJORITY of the playerbase
