Hopefully it’s better and more accessible than FF XIV’s player housing. Granted, that’s already a low bar for Blizzard to meet.
If they allow us to have different themes based on our factions or race then yes it will be much better.
Yes!!! Super exicted about this!
Weren’t the garrisons already different between the factions? I thought they were but only play Horde so
Like frosting on an unbaked cake.
I’m just looking at all the goblin crap, for Season 2 like… yeah… I’m gonna be skipping all that. I hate the Motherload… and Mechagon was awful. The Goblin starting city was annoying AF. Every goblin quest uses some stupid vehicle system that feels janky/laggy. Why on earth would I want to play a goblin themed season.
There are so many problems with Delves and the progression system and class balance and how the trees are designed… etc etc. Why the heck would I care about getting another Garrison in a world that holds little meaning. Bleh
That whole stream had me pretty tilted.
hell yea can’t wait to spend the money I saved up for a mortgage on in game store furniture
Here we come Millennial home ownership!
Part of me is excited but the other part of me believes this will be heavily monetized. Could you imagine if they only released human and orc style homes and decor and charge for other race themes lol
Genuinely shocked that this was the announcement. Given the ludicrous amount of resources necessary for something which will only continue to have -massive- upkeep requirements, housing wasn’t even on my radar.
Tinker, felt like a shoe in especially with goblin stuff. New hero talent stuff, plausible. Man. Housing is consistently something people like the “idea” of more than the reality. People complain about the game being isolated and anti-social – is having yet more instanced locations for people to sit really the answer? Is customizable garrisons really the be-all end-all feature?
I don’t know. Obviously some people are happy, but I cannot help but feel that it’s going to be something people engage with for a little, forget it exists, and then an expansion later it’s a soft scrapped feature. Maybe I’ll be mistaken.
lmfao Arbitrix.
That is brutally true.
I have a feeling it’s gonna be a couple of preset rooms that already have furniture and stuff in place, but you’ll be able to click on the furniture and it gives you the little menu like:
Which table do you want?
- Table 1
- Table 2
Probably not as customizable as people would wish but hopefully I’m wrong.
really just slap an instance on a door in game somewhere and the house internal is instanced and can be anything they want it to be.
put fixed spots all over the floors and walls to place furniture and tables and paintings on.
have a trophy room for boss heads we’ve killed.
They could go nuts with it and it’ll keep casuals like me busy for another 10 years. lol
That’d be neat, I’d like some options to make it fitting for my class I play too.
Never saw it coming tbh.
But I’m hyped!
If they get it to work well and can find a monetization angle, they will make a killing.
So feel free to complain about Blizzard catering to four or five people, but I doubt Blizzard will care as they laugh all the way to the bank.
I mean we’re either getting garrisons 2.0 or we’re getting a brilliant cash shop move. There really is no in between with Blizzard.
i hope theres a profession attached so i can make gold.
Kinda. But the Horde garrison is basically lil Orgrimmar and the Alliance is basically lil Stormwind.
I’d like a Forsaken themed place, with toxic pools and skulls everywhere.
I think people are getting their hopes up for a lot more than has been promised or even hinted at. Should try to keep those expectations reasonable for the moment I believe.
TWW does feel like filler because midnight is going to be loaded. Player housing hype hype hype!!!
People thought collecting mounts and transmogs is the end game? Housing decorations and pimping out your interior is the true end game.
