Garrisons 2.0 in a building where I decorate walls n stuff? No thanks. I have to clean my house irl. I’d rather devs spent time doing other stuff. Not spending time on something people will just AFK in. I don’t want bonuses tied to it because then I’ll have to do it. I’ll have the most baller house around.
Just give us more open world content.

I feel like it would be fun to see a mix of racial aesthetics in one housing area or however they’re going to define it.
In LoTRO, each neighborhood is tied a single racial theme and location…so while you can buy a meadhall in Rohan, you can fill every single decoration hook with elf-specific decorations if you want.

All they need to do is copy some other MMO like they did with dragon riding.
There is no shame in copying.
I’d be ok with that and would not mind doing stuff like going back into old raids like Onyxia’s Lair to farm for her head to put on my wall.

So, you can. You can also use mods over there to help with housing (which is normally against ToS but people do it anyway. If you don’t give hint of using them, SE won’t find out).
You can also craft housing items (which can be very profitable). People go out of their ways to spend MILLIONS of gil (their currency) on furnishings to deck out their house as much as possible.

I generally see MMO housing as a “break glass in case of emergency” stop-gap solution. So I’m not very hopeful.
