Player Harassment and Real Life Threats

And… This type of not caring about your players is what this game is dying…

Lame comment. It’s been said since Vanilla. Still hasn’t happened.

I’m sorry you see it that way, hopefully you read through the thread I linked earlier. Best wishes.

You want Blizzard to change the PvP policy that has been in place since Vanilla. This is not about Blizzard “not caring”, it seems to be a disconnect between 18 year old rules, and your current wishes. Maybe you did not understand how the game rules worked.

If you play on a PvP server, it does not matter why someone wants to engage in PvP. It does not matter how often they do it. A guild can make it their mission to hunt and kill another guild all day long. They can corpse camp you.

You as a player have control over who can contact you verbally, and whether or not you are engaged in PvP.

You need to use Ignore so they can’t talk to you. Read the article on Ongoing Harassment.

If you want away from PvP you need to stop playing on a PvP server. You put yourself there, you can remove yourself from that situation.

What they are doing is certainly rude, and rather unpleasant, but Blizzard does not micromanage the PvP realms to limit who can kill whom.

Here is the article on PvP Harassment

Common Problems

* A player is camping me

  • Keep being ganked and can’t play the game at all
  • A player of the opposite faction is killing NPCs

The Game Master staff will not intervene in Player versus Player (PvP) disputes.

World of Warcraft

If you do not wish to engage in open world PvP combat in World of Warcraft, disable War Mode.

WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic

If you do not wish to engage in regular PvP combat, you must create your character on a Player versus Environment (PvE) realm. On a PvE realm, you can freely choose when you want to engage in open world PvP combat by enabling or disabling your PvP flag.

If you chose to create your character on a PvP realm, Game Masters will not address situations where you are repeatedly killed by the opposite faction. This includes situations that may be considered dishonorable such as corpse camping or killing players well below your level.

You cannot transfer from a PvE realm to a PvP realm. Transfers from PvP to PvE are permitted. Game Masters do not provide realm transfers.

Meinteil, it isn’t that we don’t care and using that particularly tired narrative is a bit silly. As I said, our policies haven’t changed in regards to PvP and many of the activities that come with it.

We provided what advice we could on what to do for the behavior that may violate policy.

For your time on your PvP realm, I’d encourage reaching out to your fellow players, so maybe they can help you defend yourself in PvP combat.
