I used to have SUF but they are no longer doing midnight it seems. There are some features that I would love to see implemented or not secret so people can develop since it mostly pertains to non casual PvE which is only part of our player base. Part of it is cosmetic, but part is functional.
1 - Ability to change the colour of your HP (including matching your class)
2 - Get rid of that dumb circle with a tip, offer a proper circle or a square ,give options.
3 - Give the option to see the hp/percentage without having to mouse over your portrait.
4 - Enable select auras atop of your own player frame (for combat it doesnt matter if I have certain buffs/debuffs , but would be very useful to keep track of the moment to moment of it SUF had aura filters and was great)
5 - Display the group youre in while in a raid group as an option, that way when lead calls for group 2 to do a thing, you know if youre in or not more immediately.
6 - Give a visual on your player frame for shield and another for predictive healing, that helps a lot.
7 - Make it where the cast bar can be reduced to something smaller than 3 miles long x.x Its god awful.

#1 is not happening, any changes like that are things addons could pick up on and make deductions about.
Other customizations, hell yes. Even the DF updated units are severely outdated. Basic stuff like text size is missing, why.
#5 I hated the unremovable group labels so much, but making them optional, sure.
#6 is bizarre that partframes would show this kind of info but other unitframes wouldn’t. It could be useful on player. It’s extremely important on target/focus.
I think Blizzard is paranoid about giving too many options and scaring the wee children who pick up this game. As if people interested in computer RPGs (& one that is 20 years old) are afraid of config.
“Acktchually” the colour of the HP is the one thing I did find a few addons to do so I dont think so.
I think that “simplifying” the options is not something they should be too worried. They can even have a simple and advanced mode and have a big ole red button to reset to defaults on each tab. They could even have a cvar thing in the advanced mode so you could find it by search (like the advanced interface options addon) but i tell ya that for some reason that dumb circle with a point surrounding the character just annoys me, no is not rational but is grating lol.
This USED to be an option in the base UI. Now, all of a sudden, it’s like they intentionally removed this. Like, why do we even have to bring this up at all? It should be bog-standard!
