No. Where did you get that idea? There is absolutely nothing to indicate this race will be made playable at any point, most obviously because of them using the goren rig, having no monk animations, not being as detailed as the current playable races, and not appearing capable of wearing gear.

We can’t go a single patch cycle anymore without people seeing a new NPC race and asking “Will this be playable?!”, and it’s all thanks to the misplaced hype over allied races. Temper your expectations.

I suppose that it is possible that they could give us a toy that allow us to transform into a niffen for about ten minutes. That would make them playable, a little.

Not currently but here’s hoping.

A mole race that may have a racial to burrow under the ground in outdoor content? Yes please!

I was hoping something like
Burrow: teleports you to faction capital

Sniffen: aquire 1% more currency when looting

The nose knows: Due to your incredible sense of smell you have an increased sense of awareness towards danger +1% avoidance

Diggin: increased mining speed (same as hm Tauran)

Along these lines anyway
