Playable Man'ari!

Now that the Legion has been destroyed, and its soldiers scattered to the winds, I’d love an option to make a red draenei because they look amazing!

It would make sense for there to be a sect of Man’ari who wish to ally themselves with either the Horde or the Alliance.

That way, we can make awesome red draenei warlocks! This could be a sect that believes that siding with either faction is better than remaining ‘evil.’

But why would the Horde or Alliance ally themselves with a group of people that sold out to demons, and just spent the last what. 10k years trying to destroy our planet, and enslave our souls?

The same reason we make a criminal a martyr.

The same reason that they ally with other Warlocks: it helps them achieve their goals of defeating another enemy.

I don’t see how non-Eredar warlocks are any different from Eredari warlocks that want to aid the Alliance/Horde. These factions also have Death Knights and Rogues in their ranks.

If these Man’ari are willing to aid the Alliance/Horde, I don’t see why the Horde would say, “no.” The Alliance, I understand saying, “no,” since they tend to be extremely bigotted.

I thought the title said playable martini. I thought wait what?

Because their girls look like they are using high heels and their boys are red fridges, that is a really uncommon fridge color, you know?

Id get behind that lol

Every warlock in existence did not spend over 10,000 years trying to destroy all life on Azeroth and enslave the souls of everyone here.

This would not be ALL Man’ari–just a sect who disagreed with Sargeras and up until now had no other choice: either serve Sargeras, or die!

The Naga that allied with Illidan are very similar to this idea. Most Naga are bad, but the Illidari Naga are good, and our allies.

The ones that didnt agree with Sargeras acted upon it. They either fled, or remained and fought.

The ones that agreed with Sargeras became red. 100% of their choice. Then they participated in a 10,000+ design to destroy Azeroth.

So if you wanted to play as a spacegoat that didn’t agree with Sargeras. You can.

No redemption for people?

If you want to be redeemed for a universe wide genocide, and trying to enslave the entire planet over the course of tens of thousands of years, it should take more than a year or two of “sorry, my leader got captured, we cool now?”

Every one should be kill-on-sight to every member of Azeroth for a long time.

Every Orc is pointing fingers at someone else right now lol

It wouldn’t be the first time… or the second…

Us Orcs literally drank demon blood to solidify our pact with the Legion before we invaded Azeroth… and then the Nightborne sold out to the Legion to protect their own hides… now both are functioning members of the Horde…

This topic got weirdly popular all of a sudden. But it’s not a good reasoning to join your enemies just because you lost, saying you suddenly feel bad and developed some morality after 25,000 years of awfulness.

Aesthetically red man’ari are cool, but it’ll never happen. They’re straight evil. There’s never been a sign that any disagreed with Sargeras after joining him, that’s why they signed up in the first place and gave into the fel. Those who did disagree are the blue and silver draenei.

And both actively fought against their oppressors. They didn’t wait for their oppressor to be defeated by someone else…while fully supporting the oppressor. And then try to ally with the people that they had been trying to defeat.

If Sargeras wasn’t captured, every red spacegoat would gleefully be continuing their quest to destroy/enslave everyone. You don’t get to be redeemed because your leader failed.

This doesn’t work in our universe, we are all morally grey. I guess you forgot all those “evil” deeds you did leveling up for a few silver and gold lol.

No, there is evidence:

There is a Man’ari rogue that you do business with as part of the Legion Rogue campaign, and Warp-Scryer Soccothrates mentions that he knew that being killed would be the only way out of the Legion.

The Man’ari are not 2-dimensional villains. I’d like for there to be room for redemption, and room for nuance. As we discovered, the Burning Legion were attempting to fight the void, so they weren’t all mustache-twirling villains.

Also imagine: red draenei with wings! (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!)

^ That’s my excited sound.

Sure. But their redemption needs to take more than a year or two, due to the gravity of the crimes… Maybe in 2050 if they continue to show good behavior, for WoW’s 50th expansion we can look into it.

I see what you’re saying, and I’ll raise you a “No! Right meow!”
