Playable gilgoblins...?

I have wanted them since I first saw them in Cataclysm, I am well aware that I am in the minority here. You should have seen me when I did the Nazjatar introduction on horde, I was incredibly stoked. Happiest I have been in a sad amount of time.
I do not care about Vulpera, but I am not blind to the fact they are a billion times more likely to be an allied race than gilgoblins.
Is there a chance that despite this we may still get gilgoblins as playable ? Please try not to crush my dreams too hard

I actually think they’re more likely as an allied race than vulpera are at this point. For the most part, they’ve kept to the tradition of adding races who aren’t that different visually-speaking from the core races, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Maybe if they add a second round of allied races next expac? But anyway, I think gilbins are much closer to the goblins we have than vulpera are.

This is the first time I’ve heard this take, and I selfishly hope you are right. You have good points

It’s very unlikely I think. Mainly they’re aquatic people. They aren’t really interested in dry land to begin with, total ocean dwellers. They even complain about not being underwater in Nazjatar. But both their story and the ankoan never showed any inclination that either would join us.

Also the vulpera use the same models as goblins. They’re just as viable a sub-race as gilgoblins in that aspect. Of course the foxes aren’t confirmed either so who can say yet. :zipper_mouth_face:

You are right, this is a thing, though blizzard has shown some interest in playable naga that they couldn’t carry out bc of the leg things and not because of any environmental reasons. So I don’t think this would be the main reason if there was one

They are so friendly thohgh what if i asked them reaaaally nicely? Poen please heal me on future endeavors :revolving_hearts::revolving_hearts:

The reason I think that vulpera are more likely is because they are more unique and have some select special animations, but it hurts me to say that just because I have such a strong bias toward liking gilgoblins and feel like they wouldn’t add both

I hope not.

That would be a huge waste of an allied race. Imagine the population that play gobins, now take .001% of that and you’d have the amount of people play gilgoblins.

If you’re super nice they may come visit Orgrimmar at least! Nice dry dusty desert.

I apologize, i know you love them. I really can’t name a race on the horde I’d enjoy seeing them add. I’d rather them just add customization for goblins to have the appearance if needed. I know the racials wouldn’t fit the race but you’d at least have your options.

Playable Nagas and Ogres > All.
GIVE THEM A CHANCE

Maybe the Gilgoblin, but the Ankoan? They seem mezmirized by the sky and the prospect of the surface. They used to dwell on land afterall.

The Ankoan literally tell you they’ve never seen the sky. Not sure where you got the idea they used to dwell on land.

Power to you Cora, I have personally never seen anyone in favor of the gilgoblins.

Orgrimmar may be dry, but it is also on the coastline just as Stormwind is.

I wouldn’t mind this, honestly. Could always use that goblin alchemy racial to make the water related potions

I would love ogres as well, tbh.

The Jinyu. Plus, they’ll likely follow the people who helped fulfill their oath.

I haven’t either. If you see one please send them to me so I can have one (1) friend

LOL! Will do Cora! Stay strong and keep holding out. Your boy™ wants Vrykul himself.

Nagas, yes. They’re cool. But ogres? Who would play as an… unattractive ogres?

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but appearance matters. Very few play Kul Tirans even though they have strong racials. What makes you think people will play an even… unattractive race that is ogres?

2 headed ogre mages are so dope though

Yeah we’re probably in the minority but I agree with you. Obviously I like Goblins though and I really don’t care for playing any of the fuzzy races so that already puts the Vulpera in territory where I probably wont like playing them.

Not saying that I dislike Tauren or Worgen or w/e I just don’t usually enjoy playing them myself.
