What’s the arena forums stance on this, basically my real life friends / family are all 1200 players and have been for years despite many attempts at coaching to improve they just can’t handle focus frames and kinda the basics of arena. Despite them not being great the games and discord is much more fun.
We all know the pvp community is toxic which is fine.
So basically would you rather play with your friends around 1400-1500 rating. Or push for titles and mounts with online randoms. Games with friends are more fun but after a while you kinda want some “real arena” games.
Also only have time for 1 character so playing one with them and one pushing isn’t an option.
Qing with your friends laughing your butt off at 1400, or getting yelled at by a guy who got arena master 10 years ago who lives off unemployment because this game is his life. Pick your poison man its up to you
cus if you got 1200 friends holding you back and you wanna push, time to collect some tags g
if you don’t care, just q it up homie, its a game for fun
i personally enjoy my friend’s company way more than i care about my rating
Rat league with friends is tons better than pushing with randos imo.
Now I’m a rat league lifer who enjoys trolling the sewers, but the one time I pushed to duelist or other times even pushing towards 2k through LFG honestly were more stress than fun.
Laughing with friends in disc over the dumb stuff that happens is where it’s at.
WoW is a game, Have fun with it dude! If your friends are 1200 heroes, play with them and they will improve. in general, you will get better with more play time. If your friends/family truly dont care enough to improve or learn new keybinds, just alter your playstyle to enjoy the pvp that you are doing
I would recommend having an alt to play with them. I do ju jitsu and lift weights with my kids, but I also have adult friends that I can lift heavy with and fight with at full speed.
How lucky are you that people you care about like the things you like?
My brothers and my dads all loved golf, and I just went out hunting by myself because I’d rather watch paint dry than play golf.
Both. I have 4 hunters for a reason. They aren’t all max level atm, but even as recent as WoD I had multiple hunters to play and practice with. Even if it’s not for friends, it’s nice to have a backup just to test stuff out without hurting your rating.
I always play with friends. It seems like lfg is nothing but people looking to be carried. They will stay while you win a few games but after a single loss, they leave 50% of the time and after 2 losses, about 90% will leave.
This puts you in a situation where you’ll play 4-5 games and then you need to find a new partner. Most of the time they refuse to get in voice chat too which is an unneeded handicap.
This is the best thread I’ve seen in a while! Playing with friends is always better than the stress of pushing rating. If pushing rating is your goal, i recommend playing with them most of the season and then towards the end make your personal push dude!
If you want rating and have personal goals, but have friends who arent able to push there and/or dont care, youre going to get frustrated playing with them.
