Play BFA or wait until next expansion?

Hello, I am somewhat new to wow. I got BFA end of last year but after seeing the consistent negativity the game was getting I decided to wait until classic, which so far I am really enjoying. I want to give retail a try but don’t know if it is worth starting now or just waiting till next expansion as from what I have seen online it looks like is going to be a big one and possibly “revamp” the levelling experience. What are peoples suggestions?

BFA had a rough start, but patch 8.2 made a lot of improvements to the game. It is at least worth the try.

BFA isn’t perfect, but its not nearly as bad as people pretend.

Right now there are a ton of catch up mechanics in place, so you don’t need to feel overwhelmed that you can’t get to an adequate level of things to participate in content.

Zuldazar and Kul’tiras are worth doing + their post leveling quest.

Jainas story is good, and Zuldazars overall story is fun.

Ye, I’ll give it a shot. Probably should level instead of boosting ay?

If you wanna play BFA, you boost. As BFA is level 110-120.

If you wanna see the old stories and content, you level. Personally, theres no real cohesive and followable story until you reach Legion. Level 100-110.

Try getting getting one of the cool artifact cosmetic effects then leave, since that won;t be obtainable anymore for sure.

If you are not bothered with that then come back next expansion.

if you never played bfa, would recommend play it, it got alot stuff to do since your first time logging in.

bfa leveling is the fun part bfas end game is where it falls short.if your bored and want something other then classic wow sure try bfa.

Eh.

It’s the worst expansion they’ve ever done in 15 years. Try it. If you like it, believe me when I say this… it can only get better next expansion.

If you’re new, you have the advantage of not having experienced other expansions, so your utter crap meter may not be as well calibrated as those who’ve played much better expansions in the past.

Consistent negativity is a good guide however. Try it but don’t get your hopes up.

It’s like, your life man. We can’t make every decision for you, OP. Some you just have to make yourself.

If you’re new to wow then you have a good chance of just leaving the game and finding something better to do with your time. That’s an advice I wish I would have got 14-15 or so years ago. Of course I wouldn’t have listened but that’s not the point.

I am sure you’d enjoy BfA, especially if you’re new and compare it to classic. Just make sure you find a decent guild avoid pugs.

I am somewhat new to wow.
[/quote] Uh huh.

That’s what you get when you read this forum. IF you really are that new, (don’t really believe you sorry). Play it, and find out for yourself.

Im taking a break soon. Probably be back for 8.3.

Not nearly as bad as people claim.

Just play it and judge it for yourself, lots of good stuff to find in BFA.

It will be a nice diversion when you need a break from effort.

You say your somewhat new. I suggest don’t boost and just level with heirlooms it’s super fast to level now, also while your leveling the old fashioned way you can be able to learn your class and learn more about the game rather than boosting and being thrown into something you don’t know. :grinning:
