Seriously just do it, you can still be a DPS main in your raids or whatever, just feel free to tank/heal some dungeons
Youre not gunna instantly start tanking/healing 12s+ so your secondaries and trinkets won’t matter a bunch, maybe you’ll like it and it’ll solve the tank/healer shortage

Trial by fire worked for me with my guildies. Switched to rdruid s4 of DF and have been gaining it since then. I still am not a fan of pugging though, so I don’t blame other tanks and healers for not pugging.

I would but I don’t want to deal with the hassle of finding a group and the wasted time of all the failures (of my own doing by learning and others for learning or being bad).
Just too much of a time investment for me dawg.
Just give everyone heals and mitigation cooldowns. We don’t need to have the archaic bottlenecks anymore, imo.
Heroic dungeons are a waste of my time, and nobody wants to join me whenever I tried to get some M0’s off the ground for my tanks/healers.
So I just couldn’t be bothered.
I’ll try once there’s a queue system and not before that, lol.
Can’t even PvP on my tank, I’d play him a lot more if I could.
DPS is inherently the most fun, but if that means I can’t do PvE, so be it.

I am
Started gearing my guardian Druid just for fun. Only thing is the damage is SO LOW
I see other tanks with huge burst damage and I’m over here with moonfire and thrash
Hey, all that matters is you’re actually doing it

I can understand why a NEW PLAYER (emphasis) would find tanking difficult and/or scary.
As a vet, however, or at least someone who knows very much so what they’re doing, tanking is the easiest role. It takes maybe 10 seconds to pull up a “pug friendly” route on Google, find a +2 and let people know you’re there to learn.
I tried to heal, but I kept getting blood dks in my groups and I had a heart attack.

All I do is heal, OP. I still suffer because it takes like twenty seconds most days to get invited to the first group I apply to.

Oh just ignore the bdk and focus on you and the 3 DPS
If the bdk dies there’s a solid 99.3% chance there was nothing you could do to prevent it

+2’s are harder than a +7.
I know… I actually main heal on a diff char
- we just always have our running cardiac jokes about blood dks
I agree! I have been dipping my toes into tanking. I’m trying each dungeon out (that I can) with the followers and studying MDT routes first, but I have to say … Dawnbreaker (which I want to try next) is a little intimidating as someone who never did it in Season 1. Is the timer pretty tight on this one, or not too bad? (Hope this question doesn’t derail the thread too much, sorry.)
Tbh it’s mostly things bugging out or a shadow orb hitting a wall that’s a bigger problem than the timer
From a perspective where people don’t know what they’re doing, yes I agree.
I started out on 2s after not having played since S1 (I got my 2k rating first week in S1 and omg S1 was terrible trash so bad I quit)
Anyway, people are there to learn, in my +2s “Sorry” isn’t tolerated at all; learn, do better the next time!
Obviously, I’m done with +2 now, I only need to the dungeon maybe 2 times to see the route and be comfy so I’m already into 10s. Much smoother overall and fun.
The only alts I play are a tank and a healer, trying to spread the love. Added bonus that it helps understand the dungeons from different perspectives which improves dps imo
No, I’ve quit doing both as there is no good reason for me to deal with any of you in a pug situation.
