Come Phase 3 i hope i don’t have to wear leather on my Paladin like some BDSM Fetish, please be more aware of set bonuses and how they work on the itemization. It’s such a pain not being able to use some of my raid gear in PvP, it’s completely killed my interest in PvP.
Classic has always been good in the regard where their is no PvP or PvE gear simply an upgrade. Wasn’t until BC i had to start wearing the gimp outfit and it feels horrible especially after Phase 1.
I was thinking they should allow crafters to change armor types, tailors convert a piece of leather gear to cloth, blacksmiths convert a piece of mail gear to plate, might be a fun option but maybe a little too loosey goosey for some purists.
Not gonna lie though, I do like seeing paladins in corsair’s overshirts haha

Nobody is forcing you not to wear the plate.

No one is forcing you not to wear all grey trash gear.

I wonder if these are the same guys who wear irradiated gear and wonder why they get 1 shot in pvp.
You’re reaching deep to cope here, chud
Plate wearers mad that they can’t get Leather DPS Stats on their (2-3x) the armor plate.
Okay?
You can still clear content without equipping whatever your BiS list told you to

it’s the set bonuses my bro, they put the crit on the 2 pc leather
And the armor is on the plate!
I know you’re being a passive aggressive weirdo but the truth is, the 2 pc set bonus for leather is unarguably better than the 2 pc plate, only because of the crit. by your logic the attack power shouldn’t even exist on the plate 2 pc.
Putting the crit for a 3 set on leather would have been the ideal choice. As it would have made it atleast a choice instead of being trash vs not

I’m not one of the ones crying that the armor that I can wear (Mail in my case) doesn’t have the best DPS stats.
If Plate and Leather had the same DPS value…Plate would just be straight up better because it’s also 3x the armor.
He’s blindly following a BiS list unaware that the difference between his BiS gear and the plate gear is pretty negligible outside of +Hit stats.
Personally, I just went for full PvP BiS and I PvE in my full PvP BiS.
It hasn’t hindered me from completing Gnomer for even a nano-second. In fact, by being in full PvP BiS instead of ‘PvE BiS’, I’m in full plate armor, allowing for me to Off-Tank as a Ret Paladin the handful of times my guild has needed me to.
I do have to agree that it didn’t make much sense to me for them to put all of the Tier Gear behind tokens, but then allow anyone to buy any parts of the tier gear. Plate Classes should have been locked to Plate Tier Sets, Mail to Mail Tier Sets, Leather to Leather Tier Sets, and Cloth to Cloth Tier Sets.
That way they could have made the different tier gear as strong or as weak as they wanted it to be for the classes it was meant for. Rather than the situation we have now where two piece leather is better for paladins and warriors than three piece plate. Ridiculous.
I can generally agree with some stat balance including armor. But, the boots are actual trash and you might as well pick up ab boots or the plate drop (not 3pc), which then makes 2 pc leather infinitely more appealing. They could easily toss some agi on the boots and reduce the other stats to make them less stupid
You don’t have to now. If you wanna wear plate, go ahead.
Pretty much.
I swap out shoulders, a ring, and a Trinket (PvP trinket not very useful in Gnomer) and I raid.
I’m perfectly content to wear leather. I’m not getting hit as DPS.
Wolves is a Warrior hater with Classic PTSD.
They’re incapable of sensible arguments on the topic, so please be considerate of their trauma.
