So the new fresh realms are starting today.
When Classic first began what was your class?
Do you plan to do a similar run or a different role?
When Classic first went live, I was an affliction warlock gnome.
For the new realms, I am considering a hunter. Not sure which specialization. Keeping an eye on ammo and keeping my pet happy should be a new challenge for me.
My very first toon in 2007 is a tauren druid.
For Classic, I went with a Night Elf priest and played with my wife who was a Night Elf hunter. We just got those toons to max level in Cata Classic.
For Classic classic, I am going back to Tauren druid. Not sure what the wife will end up doing.

First Classic I played classes I typically shied away from (Mage, Priest, Shaman) and ended up loving all of them. I had my hunter, which is always a favorite (I’m a sucker for utility).
This time, I am going back to my love of melee with Warrior and Rogue. Warrior as a focus. I realize there is going to be 500000 warriors and the gear competition is going to be rough (Thankfully BG gear is strong here if I make it that far.) but I want to enjoy my favorite classes anyway.
(I’m speaking generically and as if theres a chance I’m staying past my sub dying because lack of RPPVP server, but staying on topic:)
Some hunter tips for sanity!
- Bind Pet Attack to a keybinding, and Pet Passive to a Keybinding. This will save your sanity and improve your control.
- Weapon Swing Timer for your ranged. This shows you when its safe to move/do something else while maximizing arrow shots.
- Dismiss Pet before a jump! PET DOES NOT JUMP WITH YOU. It runs down the path to reach you, aggro’ing EVERYTHING.
- Have fun
Yeah I remember that with my warlock pets the first time around. Got kicked from a few dungeons for that mistake
When OG vanilla first came out back in 2004/2005 I was playing EverQuest 2. I thought that game was the bees knees because it’s crafting system was sick af. But you almost never saw people running around in the open world. You saw some small groups in designated grinding spots but that was it for the most part. I convinced my brother, cousin, and real life friend to play EQ2 with me for a month. About 3 days into EQ2 my cousin bought some platinum so we could all get our mounts. Immediately after getting our mounts my cousin was like “This game sucks! Why don’t we just go play WoW instead?” and my brother and friend both agreed with him and left me on EQ2. They asked if I was comin’ but told them that I didn’t have the money to afford it so my brother bought me the game and my cousin bought me the sub for a month.
First character I ever made in vanilla WoW was a male Human Warrior with the twin tails that looks kinda like Conan. I know people wont believe me, but I actually named him Bajheema. I used that name on him up until the “I’m The Juggernaut, Biiii” meme became popular, at which point I renamed my Warrior Juggernaut, and that was his name all the way up until I transferred servers in Legion with him at which point the name was taken on the other server.
In 2019 Classic I made a Female Nightelf Hunter. Got it to max level. Didn’t enjoy it at the time because it wasn’t Warrior so I stopped playing.
I’m playing a Ret Paladin in Fresh.
In 2004, my first character was a human paladin. It was also my level 60 that eventually went on to be a buff/heal bot till I switched to a BE paladin in TBC.
This time I’ll be playing a troll hunter, excited to get started!
Ret Paladin was my very first in Vanilla. Golbeeze. He is an alt now.
Im doing a warlock. I havent made a new once since the OG tbc when I made my belf lock. This time were gonna be a gnome.
