If anecdotal history is evidence then consider:
October before SoM happened, Faerlina has 30% Alliance and people were leveling. Now look at Faerlina - as “the only viable server” with 99% Horde, being that Grobbulus has a similar balance to what Barman has now post SoM release.
Barman will be Grobb-like in terms of attitude and balance if Blizzard allows it to be. I didn’t sign up for Season of Mastered by the Alliance, bro, and I know you didn’t either.

Where in the world did your reasoning come from that barman was going to be anything like grovbulus? Are you just saying this or do you have anecdotal evidence? A dead server that’s balanced doesn’t matter if it’s a wasteland

Barman will be dead in 3 months, jom is life.

If swamp transfers to jom I am quitting som. We are leading one of the fastest clearing guilds over all regions, but this will absolutely ruin us.

Please do not open transfer off our server and intentionally kill our server population.
Allow the following transfers to our server instead to encourage a centralised oceanic population.
Lionheart PVE OCE > Swamp of Sorrows OCE PVP
Jom > Swamp of Sorrows (For the oceanic players stuck on there who want to come back)
Encourage oceanic players to go back to oceanic servers for 1 centralised OCE server we have the population but it has been fragmented between 2 oceanic servers and various people on NA server because they though our server was going to die which it didn’t
Will also quit SOM if my oceanic server dies because of this

The three people who will take that transfer won’t really help.

So… Why not let the PvP servers have a choice between Jom Gabber and Shadowstrike?
Some folks might prefer moving to a less crowded PvE server over a packed PvP server.

Blizz will never open up PvE to PvP again.
Why the heck do you want to mess with stuff. Leave the servers alone. All this does is kill a server.

The more options the better. Funneling people one way or the other is just going to make people angry, even if their server will still die in 3 months. And then they’ll be on the forums asking for transfers. But atleast they had options.

This disrupts the ranking ecosystems on every server in a very dramatic way, likely completely killing every server that isn’t Jom Gabbar or Shadowstrike. While that is probably the intent, going forward with this proposal hurts remaining trust that players who aren’t interested in the megaserver experience have with the company.
If you look at Classic as an example, players gravitate to a one sided population split when possible, and find the experience really unenjoyable if they’re on the flip side of that. This proposed change effectively killed the most balanced horde server (Barman) and is asking every player to transfer to Jom to continue playing the game. You’re asking them to go from maybe a 40/60 split into a 20/80, which isn’t a reasonable thing, and players, Horde especially, will quit en masse. Which means no battlegrounds. Then the PVPers quit en masse, meaning you’re also losing a large number of pool-boosting accounts as well.
Without a time machine, the only sensible thing to do would be open transfers OFF of the mega servers. Players who wanted that experience have in large rolled there already.
If you’ve truly followed community discussions, you’d also be very aware of the toxic state of Jom Gabbar. While I understand you’re not likely to acknowledge third party community’s a short trip into the Jom Discord will show you exactly why people do not want to play with those players. With this knowledge forcing every player to join into that cesspool shows you think very little of your community as a whole.

Anybody on Lionheart that is not into a pvp server, I can highly recommend Shadowstrike. People are super friendly and helpful. I just started there and got bags and cash to help out a gnommie.
You would be happily welcomed.
Best of luck to you all.

you’ve missed the hundreds of dead server posts that lead to this.
They can roll on any server they choose.
Nah nobody rolls the big server to complain about pop
The people who didn’t roll on Jom didn’t roll on Jom. One reason could have been tonavoid a crowd. A choice would be decent.
