Plain Letters are now all blank on the PTR

Making a separate topic for visibility.

All the Plain Letters I had stored in my character’s bank are completely empty after the recent build. The items are there, but when you open them they only show blank pieces of paper.

I just freshly transferred this character over to the PTR to double-check (after the most recent build came out) and it happens consistently with all the letters I had stored in my bank.

This needs to be fixed before the patch goes live. It would be devastating to permanently lose these letters.

By plain letters do you mean mail that people Sent you that has sentimental value? I’m not quite sure what you mean by “plain letters?”

This probably has something to do with the bank revamps they are doing. My recommendation is put them in your bag slots on your character just in case.

This would be easy enough to test by putting some in bags before a character copy.

I’ve never personally tested letters to see if they maintain their content after a character copy to past PTRs, though.

That’s a good find. I might test out the putting them in the bag 1st then clone to ptr idea. Got some old letters that I don’t want to see disapear. Just a tad sentimental
