I see a lot of ads in chat while in Valdrakken about offering to carry players through dunegeons and raids. As I assume its perfectly okay to offer your time for gold, I’m wondering how often people are ripped off? Have you ever been ripped off?
I’ve never asked for such services and first thing I do on any character I have entering a capital is to type /leave 5.

I think the main thing is to pay a level 70 with achieves on their account. They’re already breaking the rules if they’re advertising and not going to participate in the run (and a level 10 obviously isn’t) as escrow is not allowed.
I bought 2 m+ carries on an alt in SL (just because I didn’t wanna deal with it right away) and it went over just fine.
I know how predatory people can be, and I just want to know if people have successful and good experiences with this
People have been buying carries in WoW for 20 years.
I would imagine often, because it’s too easy to to say you will set up a run then boot the person from party after they have paid.
Haven’t been ripped off yet (unless if you count, loot not droppping.)
DF expenditures on carries, is about 25 million for me. 5 million in Shadowlands. 2? in bfa I think.
Edit: actually there was this one time where the person I paid for a power level had internet issues.
Guess that kinda counts.
