Hi All.
As many of you know, there was a wonderful little ranged weapon enchant you could use back in Cataclysm that was crafted by Engineers who put in a good deal of work at the Molten Front - Flintlocke’s Woodchucker. It gave you a boost to Agility as a proc, and turned your projectiles into little critters. Sadly, there hasn’t been anything similar since then.
While chatting with my guild about this, we came up with a possibility, similar to a Warlock’s Glyph of Felguard allows you to use 2H weapons in your inventory as weapons for your Felguard, Flintlocke’s Thingchucker would pick random objects in your inventory as ammo (not consumed, just using a model of the item). Now, this could certainly be restricted down to “things that actually have a model” or down much further to specific classes of item. I keep thinking it would be great to use caged pets, equipment, and other similar things as the ammo, so it would be like having a trebuchet (and, if you “loaded” it with a pair of boots, it would almost be like a Booterang!). Sticking to caged pets would make it more like the old Woodchucker, and you could even go thematic with specific pets.
Hopefully others enjoy this little thought, or maybe have other things to add. I can only hope something like the Thingchucker (or a current-expansion-quality Woodchucker) is something that could come to pass at some point.
