We went to Argus, the stronghold of the Burning Legion but we cant learn to summon Pit Lords? Even if its similar to the way Doomguards use to have to have a ritual to summon but fighting through the heart of the legion, helping other warlocks summon pit lords but we as warlocks can’t? I don’t like it. I could list off other demons that we can’t summon but Pit Lords should be one and a big summon at that. I made a post about Demonology being a Tank spec. Could work…

Swap tyrant out for pit lord, have him empower the demons & himself yet he’ll be melee instead of range… sounds sick to me

I understand no pitlord, but at least we could have the new Jailer demons, the Inquisitors, the Urzhul and our Doomguards back…
not just imps and dogs.

I like the empower idea but I wouldn’t say swap them out. I would say add on and have tyrant for a different utility, maybe for off tanking or tanking adds. But I don’t think there should taking away and replacing, it should be adding on.
Its funny you mention going to Argus seeing as how it was during Legion in which we captured a Pit Lord and used it as an anchor for you class order hall and during that time we also ended up gaining control over countless demons who we have not used at all else where. While I like the idea of a Pit Lord with the way the pets tend to often get big and for some can become a nightmare for situations like raids in the terms of healing or targeting I personally thing something like a ranged Pit Lord would be rather doable, and I would love to see us be able to summon a vast number of demons to do our bidding outside of just random chance. I made a whole thread a while back about wanting to change talents to be summons for Demo but that was using the current aspect of talents. Now that I have had the chance to see what all is able to be done in the terms of talents I really hope that there is a chance for us to have a Summoner/Demon Lord concept for the spec now.

That would be cool. I hate the current rendition of demo as it feels like only a couple pets at a time and they’re not even there the whole time. I did make a recent post about making demo a tank spec because I feel its unfair for classes with 3 specs but only 1 role. I want to be able to run in and tank if no one else will but if there’s no tank then I’m just screwed. Its been back and forth with people, maybe if there was a way to diversify the roles of classes without taking the established role would be perfect, I just hate only having one option
→ Change the “Summon Fel Lord” PvP talent to “Summon Pit Lord” with the exact functionality
→ Make it a talent in dragonflight so its usable in PvE too

I kind of like that but also what I envisoned is similar to the old Doomguard ritual and need multiple warlocks to summon. Also I think it should be baseline, Summon Fel Lord should be baseline too but oh well.
