Pirates represent only a very small subset of Azeroth.
They’ve been done to death as it is.
Making an expansion around a sliver of a beaten dead horse would be beyond boring.
Thanks for continuing to not make pirate expansions.

We’re going back to Draenor instead - they’re doing WoD 2.0 with a bunch of the stuff they previously cut and more!
Fully customizable garrisons - including placement.
New continents!
New Allied Races!
New little pets!

Honestly a WoD that isn’t cut in half and abandoned would have been great.
And if Draenor allied races mean I get to play Arrakoa or Botani I’m here for it lol
It technically has since day one: remember the placeable campfire? All they have to do is take that concept and change it to be permanent (within a pre-defined space) and voilà, you have housing!

Ya, I know.
Phasing, sharding and layering are already pushing the limits of the hamster army.
It’s a nice dream though - my horde toons could finally have something other than snow and huts.
Me too! I played Forgotten Realms AD&D and loved the race they’re based on the Voldoni.
You know what, I hadn’t thought of it that way. If they can make anti-toy zones, they could definitely make permanent toy zones…and we already have a bunch of furniture toys that we could use.

They make me think of the Sylvari from GW2, which is why they’ve always been on my dream list for playable races.

Well if blizz wanted, we dont need draenor for botani considering they tried to invade near stormwind. Could always have some spore that remained somehow.
True, and also a couple came back with the Mag’har during their recruitment and ran toward the Barrens.
My theory since that has been that they’ll have taken root (pun intended) in and around Wailing Caverns, which was having issues with rampant overgrowth. Maybe whenever that world revamp happens 
Either way, I just think they’re neat and wanna play one.
The only way a Pirates expansion would work is if they did WoW 2, and didn’t start that off with content about having to fight off world ending events.
Honestly, after fighting off a giant eyeball seeking to reak havoc on the world, fending off demons from Outland, fighting the Lich King, having Thrall kill steal Deathwing, having a war in Pandaland to kick the bum of an Orc with daddy issues, then traveling to an alternate time to stop said Orc from more shenanigans, to a Demon invasion again, to another faction war that ends on killing an Old god, traveling to the realm of death to stop a … Robot? from ending the death machine, now war with proto-drakes whom are upset that no one wanted to live in a world full of chaos and anarchy. An expansion based around Pirates would seem boring in comparison.
Also, may I never write such a run on sentence ever again. Dang MMOs and their multitudes of expansions ruining my grammar.

There’s still Ogrezonia and Zul’Dare out there to explore some naval theme. 
I’d love it if they did this on Azeroth instead of some wild time travel but not actual time travel gymnastics.
We’d probably never get total free placement but having options would be fun. Finishing a zone story would unlock the option of moving your garrison/home there.
People seem to like the stupid DF expansion. So I am sure people will like a pirate expansion. Can’t be any worse.

Maybe they can save the crumbling remnants of Outland by crashing it into the ocean on the far side of Azeroth 
Honestly, I also dislike pirate themed things. There was SO much of it when the first set of Pirates movies came out…and then blech.
At least with DF we went from fighting the god of death in SL to helping cosmically powered dragons…opposed by other powered dragons.
I’m unconvinced that a run of the mill human pirate is any threat whatsoever to me at this point.
But hey, let’s see what happens lol.
Return to Outland would but butts in seats, I tells yah. Bring in the Gorean ogre empire from WoD. A chunk of Outland with the remains of their empire floats in and takes over Outland. They then begin to pour through the dark portal to invade Azeroth.
Its The Ogre Roman Empire…in space. A sword and sandal epic. With ogres. In space! Continue the Outland story. Catch up with characters we haven’t seen in like 20 years like A’dal.
