Pirate needs to be a class

Melee - Buccaneer

  • Uses swords, knives, daggers, etc.
  • Has rope swing attack where you swing into the enemy

Ranged - Cannoneer

  • Uses dual wield pistols or a rifle
  • Uses a cannon as a pet

Both have

  • parrots on their shoulders that swoop in to attack the enemy or provide cover to escape
  • increased critical strike chance whilst under the influence of alcoholic beverages
  • targetable grappling hooks to get around high terrain, buildings or trees (works like climbing gear but can be targeted)

i reckon it’s ranged attack should be called ‘Between the eyes’ or something, sound super piratey kinda johnny deep shenanigan type.

Speaking of outlaw rogue. Remember in WoD, or maybe legion, when we could summon a pirate ship for a cannon barrage. Can we get that back?

Is this the pirate cannon that drops from Tol Dagor and assuming the tank doesn’t move mobs out of it, it kinda pumps? Cause I got one while leveling and had a double spawn. it sucks because pugs but I loved that trinket to bits.

No it was legion, I just found it. Cannonball Barrage.

Cannonball Barrage
Level 90 Outlaw rogue talent
35 yd range
1 min cooldown
[Instant]
Command a ghost ship crew to barrage the target area with cannonballs doing (720% of attack power) Physical damage over 1.8 sec and slowing enemies by 50% for 1.5 sec

But honestly, would love a dual gun pirate class. Been playing swtor again as a smuggler and being the pirate king is fun.

Also guardians of the galaxy game square enix made. So fun playing as Star-Lord And his merry band of pirates trying to go legit. Got the game recently because it was $9 on steam. Probably still is, totally worth it.

Hell yeah, I’d love to play as an outlaw.

Yeah, but it’s still a rogue.
Don’t want that. Don’t need all of that rogueey stuff that comes with it.
We need a dedicated pirate class with different skills.
Stuff like…

  • Ear Bite - gnaw an enemy’s ear off creating a bleed effect
  • Peg Leg - rapidly kick an enemy’s shin causing X damage and slowing them
  • Shiver Ye Timbers - drop ice cubes down an enemy’s pants creating a loss of control
  • Duobloons - Throw pieces of eight at the enemy disrupting spell casts
  • Jolly Roger - Sing at the enemy causing an iterrupt that cause them to /dance

It was goofy to force Rogues into being Outlaws/Pirates to begin with.

It’d be like forcing Warriors to have a Pirate spec.
