PIrate MOG!

I am looking for advice and recommendations on my MOG. The goal and them i am trying to go for is a Captain of a pirate ship. i dont want to replace the eye patch so that leaves helmet off limits. Mostly i am trying to find something to replace the weapon. the reason i use the simple wooden staff is because it hides very well behind the character and isnt really seen from the front. I use by BA staff so i cant choose another mog. But maybe a polearm or something else could. work . Please rate it our of 10 for me, i would really appreciate your feedback and how i did putting this together

Actually laddie, I’ll give ye a 9.9/10. Overcoat looks great, as well as all the gold accents on your character.

Only minor change I’d look into is a bit of change in color on the belt. Either a slightly brown/bronze/gold color for the buckle would tie everything together. Or if you keep the silver buckle, a brown-ish belt color would provide just a tiny amount of contrast.

Have some pirate grog on me, lad! :beers:

Mog looks great, 10/10 IMO.

It’ll be pretty hard to find a nice staff to be pirate themed. I remember there being some staves that are small and wooden like yours, but have a skull and some flowers on it. Like the one i linked below, might look ok if the color is right.

I found a red one, might look better. I see 4 or 5 of these staves in different colors.

Looks great, nice job! :slight_smile: I love how the red stands out. I think you got some great suggestions, and I’ll just toss you this staff I thought of that I use on my monk some times…it may be too black for your mog, but doesn’t hurt to have ideas.

am i able to get this on the horde i noticed its an alliance item, maybe through the black market?

hmm…if you transmogged a polearm onto your staff you could say that its a whaling spear.

I also am having trouble finding a decent staff mog for my pirate getup. I’m actually hoping for a dagger upgrade so I can mog that to go with my dagger belt. But anyway, the red staff I have currently mogged would go with your color scheme too, I think. As a bonus, it’s nautical-themed since it’s the staff from Shrine of the Storm: Seabreeze (complete with tentacles and barnacles winding around the wood).

I have the red (mythic, I believe) version, but here is a better picture of it than you can see on my armory.

I went with more of a cannoneer, thought captain is too played out. I’m just part of the crew. :crazy_face:

Go to wowhead, look up “dock hook” and “boat hook” under the polearms and staffs.

There are several that would work with your mog.
