I have to create a new post, because I do not see one i can necro that is recent or relevant, but I have like the wildest Pink Floyd the wall story I want to tell.
I was invited by my friend Billy to go to the new Hazlet multiplex and see Pink Floyd the Wall movie.
The trip there was uneventful , about 6 of us piled in to his Dodge twister and we went.
EVERYBODY in the movie theater was high except me , because as a rule, I like to stay sober so I can take in movies and concerts and retain what happened.
I thought the movie was good, it showed the dark side of rock stardom, Bob Geldoff was great. It was super cool to see the songs on the radio acted out and I enjoyed myself.
Then we pile back in to the Twister to drive home and my friend Billy is all over the road.
I am thinking he is physically impaired and I kept asking him to pull over and let someone else drive.
I did not realize at the time he was tuning me out , trying to focus on steering the car, but I would later.
So we finally make it home and i was so scared I believe I kissed the earth when I got out of the car.
I call Billy up expecting to be angry the next day and he tells me a daylight inspection revealed the A frame shattered where the right control arm for the right wheel is bolted, so he was literally driving with the left wheel and fighting the right wheel, so it turns out he did a fair piece of driving.
His insurance company totaled the car and he bought an all black first generation Nissan Pathfinder SUV which was also pretty cool.
The trip to see Pink Floyd the wall will be emblazoned in my memory for the rest of my life, however.
