*PING PING PING annoying

THE dungeon and legacy tool green button thing is driving us nuts

Who is “us” and what is the issue?

I’m assuming they mean the constant chime sound effect that plays if anyone is sitting in the queue for a currently listed group. The leader and anyone with assist can hear it.

I get why it exists, but it probably needs an option to disable the chime somewhere. It’s fairly common to leave waitlists open or to, you know, wait a couple minutes to see if better candidates turn up instead of taking literally the first people to queue.

For me, it only pings if the window is not open. If the leader is ignoring it, then the leader needs to stop ignoring the closed window. If it is pinging for those not the leader, then that is a problem.

Leader isn’t going to stop fighting a boss to look at the queue. Things aren’t particularly “ready to go” or “not ready to go” when it comes to raids especially anymore. It can often be a matter of “if [class] shows up we’ll grab it” or as mentioned, “waitlists” because people inevitably leave after various bosses in pug groups.

Assists hear the chime because they have the ability to invite, but often, that’s not really their place. They have assist for content reasons, not logistics reasons.

This sounds like a rare occurrence and the ping should not be able to be muted, in my opinion. Do not queue during fights for pug raids if you do not like hearing a tiny little sound. The ping is important to make sure no one ignores those waiting.

Try inviting some of the people applying instead of holding out for higher ilvls. if the group is full take it out of the group finder. Far out… Its annoying because you are using it wrong.

It should delist you if you leave people hanging in the queue too long.

No more ping ping ping then, everyone is happy.

They increased the frequency of the ping sound in 9.05. I have no idea why.

THIS is my argument ^

You do not have an argument. You have a complaint that you did not even voice yourself and it took ten replies before you merely pointed to someone else’s statement.

As was said earlier:

An idea was also posted:

Do you have thoughts on this or would you rather let everyone else simply answer for you, instead of communicating yourself?

Fun detected, must nerf.

If you are listed with no activity for long enough, you do get delisted.

Which goes to show why Waitlists are a thing – people cycle in and out often enough in pug groups that there’s constantly activity, keeping the listing going for the most part.

It’s just efficient to run things in that way so you aren’t taking breaks after every other kill or wipe. to re-list and find replacements.
