Pincers and Needles Quest Droprate

The droprate in this quest is quite low and the worst part is the amount of mobs that drop the item in each location, probably just a better respawn rate would do the trick! by far in any other profession this is the worst profession quest

Everybody says their own profession quest is the worst.

Fact is they’re all bad. I do all of them twice each week, because apparently I am a masochist (in fact I have 4 of each crafter but I don’t hate myself quite enough to do them on all 4). Sometimes one of them finishes fast, but that is just luck, and balanced out by another one taking even longer than it is supposed to.

They’re all bad.

Yes this one is really bad. i have done other crafter ones. and this one is horrible. i killed all of the quest mobs mobs in the area ( 6 in the area for today) and got 2. then had to wait for the respawn got 1, wait for respawn and got two so in 30 min i have 5 of 10 and im waiting for respawn. they either need to up the number in the area or increase the drop rate it is going to take a hour or 2 at this rate

With the pincers, I don’t recommend sitting around waiting for respawn. I killed everything in each marked area, and it completely in a reasonable amount of time. I’ve always moved from area to area on any of these profession quests, and they move pretty quickly even when the drop rate is slower. I think, psychologically, maybe it doesn’t feel as bad as sitting around waiting, too.

I don’t really mind these quests that much, but I guess I’m in the minority haha. I usually get other stuff done while I’m doing them, or I’m killing time waiting in a queue, so it doesn’t seem too tedious. The fact that a lot of my alts are getting a good amount of XP from running around doing them is probably also a bonus. Ask me again in several weeks and we’ll see how I feel. :stuck_out_tongue:

The only one I’ve really been annoyed by today was the inscription quest where you collect peacock feathers. The drop rate was high, but the several of the birds were perched up on top of a high, narrow tree stump, and if you wanted to attack them, you had to learn how to land your dragon on the tiny surface area, otherwise they would evade if you tried to pull them down with a ranged attack. That is definitely the worst profession quest I’ve done so far.
