Picking the "bad" classes

Does anyone ever just want to play the lowest rated specs and try to conquer the world with them just to subvert expectations?

Thats just playing warlock in general so yeah

I tried that. Any class can turn from best to worst. Even when they are fun. RIP DEMO Warlocks in WoD.

No. But I do play what I find fun.

I first came in with a boost of this shaman that was enhancement. Boy did I get a bad reception from the player base when I tried pugging.

Ultimately I had the urge BUT I’d rather also just enjoy what I played, bad or not.

To be fair locks are stellar in raids. I’m saying like absolute bottom of the barrel crap specs. I.E. sub rogue

Can’t remember the last time I saw a sub rogue in pve lol

I have this friend whom is pretty good at feral. He get’s blamed even if he is doing the best DPS in M+ sadly you can really never change the stereotypes D:

I really enjoy WW monk even though in higher level raiding, it’s considered low tier.

Do I expect WW monks will be ignored for most world first mythic raiding compositions? Absolutely.

Ultimately, it’s impossible to convince people a low tier class is good because simulations or people of near equal skill will just perform better on a superior class. But, I always advocate going with what a player considers “fun” over anything else.

I have 1 of nearly everything, so I guess I’m definitely in this category somewhere.

I have a thing for Derp specs; those classes that have wierd mechanics or effects that I don’t see as often.

Like, I have an arms warrior I don’t really PVP with and a survival hunter that feels like I should be playing with a rolling pin. on my keyboard.

I play feral druid a lot.
Which by the community is a “bad” spec.
I’m quick to apologize at the end of a dungeon for beating other peoples dps with my “bad” spec.

Oh also, I played a Destruction lock for a while there, and it was great to have a class that had turrible DPS combined with obscene damage; nothing like smacking someone for around 130k with a coked up chaos bolt.

Playing cat when moonkin is superior spec in every way for every piece of pve content?
Playing absolutely worthless marksman over OP BM?
Sub rogue in pve when outlaw is a king?
Playing warlock?

My best friend who’s made of spite did this before she had to quit the game. She’d switch mains to whatever the community deemed bad, and melt faces by finding some way to play the spec counter to what most people did with it. Changing which stats she aimed for on gear, picking talents that websites said were “bad”, and just making it work. Then laughing at all the people who made surprised faces at her in raids when she flexed on them. She was contrary as hell, and did it just because people said she couldn’t.

Ill rather be weaker than being forced into a stupid pirate that ruined the spec

Happens with Feral/Ret Paladin a lot due to people just enjoying those specs.

It’s much less on WW monk because sustain is harder.

They buffed WW in the last patch btw

No because no matter what you do an equal skill player in a better spec will absolutely destroy you on the meters. Not worth the time IMO.
