Are we only alloted so many points to put into the Hero Nodes? If so, do we know how many?
Pretty sure you’ll eventually have them all unlocked
You get every talent by the time you’re max level. The only thing you have to choose on are the choice nodes. Is there a specific hero spec you’re interested in?
I main Rsham. Have for years and I usually push high end content. Theres so much hate in the Shaman community. But, as “boring” as the hero talents are for Farseer, with a combination of some of those nodes, it could really truck in HPS…and itll be a riptide machine.
I haven’t tested Rsham yet. Not usually a healer. But one of my friends has been having a lot of fun with Farseer. You will have all the nodes by level 80 So you should be able to play around a lot with builds.
Okie dokie, thank you. This is good to know
You are very welcome. Happy to help.
Can I use hero talent points on more regular talents? If not, why?
You get them all by max level. There’s 11 hero talents per tree and you get 1 hero talent point every level from 70 to 80. So you decide what order you get them as you go through the campaign, but at max level you’ll have them all.
My understanding is they are happy with the general balancing they have struck with the current talent trees and the number of points given, and they did not add more talents or more points to those trees because it would upset that balancing.
So, the solution was to give us a third tree with a smaller impact.
Hero Talents might end up being very cool. (I actually have no idea because I’ve paid only minimal attention to them.) But I think the explanation is lame.
When asked about adding more rows of talents/more points, Ion said something like “we’ve done that before and it didn’t work”. If that’s the case, then the new talent system is a failure already.
I was expecting additional columns of talents with more points to spend. This would diversify the builds available (might need to add more horizontal connections between talents to accommodate). I would gladly sacrifice some of the deeper talents (particularly in the class tree) to get more utility and passives on a wider tree. I think they threw away the current talent trees much too quickly.
everyone expected huge class updated which shaped you way you play a class which was the design path blizzard were doing and they stated this multiple times.
Angry people will be angry. all the hero talents are quite unique and fun even the ones with passives
What? You Outlaw’s don’t like Roll the Bones?
Here, we give you another RNG ability! Coin Toss!
You get 1 per level and will unlock the full tree at 80.
You can also put in 1 point per level for each tree so if you want to switch hero trees you can.
