Picking a "main" for SL

Hi everyone, is anyone else struggling with this? I have pretty much every class at 120 and cant for the life of me decide what I want to play moving forward. what are some of you guys playing and why? are you rerolling or sticking to a long term main? just curious what others are enjoying right now for me to maybe try out. lately its been hard to enjoy much with boring content and a lot of my toons missing essences and traits that make them feel vastly different then.

Been a Druid since Vanilla and will continue to be a Druid until the end of time, even if they destroy Feral to be the lowest DPS in the entire game.

I’m most likely going to stick with this character. For me, DKs have always been pretty reliable in terms of enjoying the class. Plus, I’ve got all of my Stuffā„¢ on her.

My choice pretty much depends on the changes they make to classes. If they stay mostly the same then it’s gonna be a tough decision for me.

I am right there with you , I have multiple classes at 120. Right now I started working on the alliance allied races, because we have heard little to nothing about shadowlands.

Zerde has been my main since BC. Regardless of what has happened to ele or resto.

Druid, moonkin first then my mage. Druid to me with all the utility, especially nelf with shadowmeld, is my choice for a new expansion. Not to mention the travel options and stealth.

After that I’ll level up my mage.

One thing I’ve learned in the last 6 years of expansions - there are no more mains. Just blanket buffs/nerfs that totally invalidate a class or make them stupidly OP.

Level several, so when Blizzard kicks you in the junk, you’re prepared.

Something tells me Shadow Priest are going to be the op spec for some reason

thinking about picking warlock because when raid has no warlock summoning people becomes very annoying.

This guy will always be my favorite, but I’ll also maintain my monk/druid at max level. If only Hunter had a spec besides DPS…

Depending on how Blizzard handles Covenants that could be more true than ever.

Been DK for years now, and SL seems to have a lot of death/undeath related ideas to it, so it feels appropriate to stay as a DK with as many of our appearances and sets collected to match the aesthetics of the xpac.

I’ll be sticking to my Warrior here in Shadowlands. Fury was by far one of the most fun specs to play this expansion in my book, as it was literally designed as a giant ā€œbuzz offā€ to the GCD system. It gets around it perfectly, and I sometimes forget the GCD exists thanks to it.

I’ll be a warrior until they kill it. If that happens then I’ll just quit playing. As simple as that really. That’s what happened for me in WoD. No flying and gutted the class = no sub for me.

The bigger question for me is who my main alt will be. Right now it is a druid and for the most it seems it’ll stay that.

So legion all over again

Definitely, I have one ā€˜main’ for each faction (this druid for alliance, and my vulpera shaman for horde), but I’m trying to work out 4 characters on each faction so i have one for each covenant. Just cant decide what classes/races i want them all to be.

I’ll stick with my mage again, unless there’s a good reason not to. Normally, I’ll level my pally second, but if Blizz still insists on having pathfinder and bad level design, then I’ll have to go with one of my rogues again. I found that being able to stealth past all of the garbage made early BfA a lot more fun.

The class does match the expansion theme, kinda like dks/pallies in wotlk

is TIME TO TRULY VISIT THE UNDERWORLD.

I was a long time enhancement shaman main but after legion they just felt so bad for a time I ended up mainly playing this DK and a balance druid. I did for a time try a mage and that didn’t stick. I tend to struggle with enjoying a caster class, balance being the only one I can stomach but never main. I know enhance is in a better spot right now but again I fear they will be right back in the toilet to start SL as they usually are at the start of a new xpac. I have a toddler now and not nearly the amount of playing time I once had so im trying to stick to one main one alt so im not constantly playing catch up.
