So since it doesn’t look like I’m getting a GPU, I figured I’d upgrade my battle/work station.
My center display is an AOC AGON AG241QX 24" 1440p/144hz display, and I’m pretty happy with it
But my side panels that I use for work and forums are 24" 1080p panels that just don’t work well enough in combination with my center display.
So I’m getting two of these to replace the side panels.
VIOTEK FI24D - 1440p, 75hz, Freesynx/Gsync

I’ve been on the fence on these a while but previously the seller was a third party, and now it’s shipped and sold by Amazon so I feel a little more confident in return being easy if they’re terrible.
They don’t need to be amazing as I’m just using them for youtube/forums and work.
I need to stick with 24" because of my stand, and I don’t want to get a new stand to support 27" displays because then I’d need to get three expensive displays.
What do you all think?
What do you all think?
Isn’t 24" a bit small for 1440p? Everything is tiny on my 27" 1440p.
no, my main display is 144p and the PPI is amazing, makes 1440p look like 4k
Grats on finding those. 1440p 24"s are pretty thin on the ground.
A couple of re-furbished Dells, and one Levono, all I saw.
My monitors are mismatched as well as they were all purchased at different times for different purposes, but all ended up on my desk. If I were purchasing new ones I would match up on resolution and refresh rate. My setup is fine for working, which is its primary purpose.
I think you should give some thought to getting 1440p/144hz panels. I don’t know if you’re only considering IPS, but I’ve seen some great inexpensive VA panels out there. Heck, if you go this route and you feel like it, you can play WoW (and other games) across all three monitors. If you get the 75hz monitors, unless you lock your refresh low on the 144, you’re limiting yourself - maybe that’s ok, but I just wanted to mention it in case you hadn’t considered it.
Edited, because obviously posting first thing in the morning before coffee causes brain farts.
Specifically looking for 1440p to match my existing center 24" 1440p/144hz display. I’m less concerned about refresh rate on my supplemental displays since I don’t game on them, just work or videos/forums.
Those that you listed are all 1080p. Thanks anyway though
24" is too physically small for my tastes personally, even if the PPI is amazing. Would have to see what they’re like IRL but I feel like I’d have to move them considerably closer to my face than with 27" displays to be comfortable, which can get awkward depending on desk setup.
That said, it’s way better than 24" 1080p, which IMO is beyond the upper bound of what’s reasonable with that resolution — it’s treading into brick-pixel territory.
60-75hz is more than fine for work purposes. Higher refresh rates are kind of a “cherry on top” sort of thing outside of games, with the only benefit being smoother cursor motion and OS animations.
