I use to only do BGs’, but since i have tried Arena as a Outlaw Rogue i am starting to enjoy it more. I am torn as to what my first alt will be, i cannot decide so i will tell you what i am looking for.

Mages are a ton of fun in blitz and always have 1 spec that’s considered at least somewhat “off meta” if you really care about that kind of thing.
Mage has decent utility, though it’s not required to do well on the spec. If you’re good at living and pumping damage you will have a lot of fun in most situations
Ice Wall (available to all 3 specs) is one of the most fun spells in the game and has a lot of creative possibilities in bgs
If mage is too intimidating then just play a hunter
