Physical minis for transmogs

Not sure if this is the right place for this kind of post - but I was wondering if anyone else would appreciate some way to export character models into 3D printed minis, either just the file or buying pre-done prints from some kind of service.

I love to 3D print in my spare time and a pretty huge part of the 3D printing/D&D circle is now services like HeroForge and whatever Wizards of the Coast has cooking up makes it really pretty easy to create a 3D model and either print it on your home printer or have them do it with bigger fancier ones (that can even color the miniature for you).

If Blizzard suddenly released some partnership with one of these where you could buy your WoW characters as 3D print files or physical minis, would you be interested? Is there a price range it would have to be at?

This sounds like figureprints (I think last time I had checked, they were only doing certain battle pets and had discontinued doing player characters)

Interesting! I had never heard of them. It looks like their website is up but it seems pretty abandoned, still mentioning shadowlands as the most recent xpac and with most posts online indicating that they imploded.

I’ll have to see if there’s any way to export WoW models into anything borderline convertible to STL files. I imagine an issue trying to implement this in a wider scale is that so many WoW items would have to be disabled from such a service due to having floating or otherwise “unprintable” parts
