I was wondering when the physical Collector’s Edition will be available to pre-order? Also, what will come in the Collector’s Edition box?

I dont think they will have much information about the physical edition until closer to release, maybe at 6 months out.

Isnt the physical edition for PC games lately just a box that contains a code that you use at a download link? I dont think WoW has actually been on a physical disk since maybe MoP.

The Collector’s Edition comes with other goodies, though I feel that has been lacking. Lately it feels like an artbook and a link to download the soundtrack. >_> Oh and maybe some pins or something.

I’m very curious of a number of items relating to the physical collector’s edition;

  • What will be included in the edition, obviously. I’d hope that it’d at minimum match the digital items from the Epic edition plus some cool physical items like artwork, soundtrack, pins etc in a cool container.
  • Pricing estimates so we can plan ahead
  • Can we purchase digital now and receive a credit for purchasing the physical later, that way players aren’t forced to miss out on some of the stuff we could enjoy now (the boost, the mount and pet, the flying activities etc)

The Dragonflight and shadowlands boxes came with pins, an artbook, a mouse pad, and all the digital goodies from the digital edition. If you purchased the digital epic edition already, once you add the download key from the collecters box you get the difference added as battle.net balance. Id assume the same will be for TWW but we wont know for sure until they announce it.

Oh thank you for that response, I wasn’t around during SL so wasn’t aware. I opened a ticket to ask about this too, so maybe they’ll confirm your suspicions =)

I am waiting as well for information on the physical collectors. I have a wall of them with all, including Vanilla, and everything since.

I have vanilla on disk and WOTLK and a couple of player guides from that era, I say vanilla on disk but its like 5 disks.

Maybe to you but regardless of what they have inside em the box alone is worth getting to add to collection on the shelf. If you dont see a point to getting a box to display then you’ll understand. all the art boos that have come with the rest of em i literally have never opened all the way back to cata. i get the game key from em close em up never use use nor touch anything inside em. A true collector protects by not opening/using. To use something is to damage them

i usually pre purchase as soon as i can then buy the CE just to put on my shelf. the game keys can be used to get b-net balance to buy the next mount trans-mog what ever later on

Yes It would be great to know when they plan on releasing the CE so we can buy it. I use to get my CE’s at best buy and gamestop but I doubt if that will be an option anymore. So I hope that Blizz posts some updates on when this will come out.

As with many others I’ve been only buying the CE’s since WoW first came out and I hope they keep releasing them for us collector’s
