Either make stam/armor higher or make Summon Charhound and Hand of Guldan instant cast.
Most physical dps has too many interupts, stuns, knockups, grabs, and silences making casting and pressure impossible. Damage taken numbers for locks is off the charts. Every lobby seems to be 3 physical vs the lock. My last was WW, MM, Outlaw. Like wth?!?
I really, really, REALLY think we just nerf warrior first and see where warlock lands. I don’t want to buff warlock and have it be the next warrior when war actually gets inevitable nerfs.
I’m fine if I can just cast something. More instants and more armor. Nerfing warrior isn’t going to help when every other toon has the same CC abilities and the same MS. There is a reason why physical damage is dominating every category. The only exception is premade 3s with organized control. You still don’t see locks in that though when Mages are so good.
See the thing is, melee players don’t really care. They say “MAGE BROKEN” and blame Mage for why they need buffed or why they are fine being broken or really strong, etc. In reality, this game has been a melee dominated game for a very long time. Do Mages need mobility nerfs? Probably sure. But Warrior needs to be dialed back too for starters. Then we can see who the problem classes are after Mage and Warrior are balanced.
To be completely honest. The most difficult melee for me have always been Warriors and Demon Hunters. I stand by that opinion. The amount of stops they have and the unrelenting uptime and pressure, plus the high DPS is overwhelming sometimes.
I’m all for nerfing mages too! Most mages are actually not that good, but I had the pleasure, well, or curse, of playing against one who really knew who to maximize the exploding shield thing with disorients to do crazy damage against melee. Mage is one of the few classes that can effectively counter everything at the moment.
Warriors and Demon Hunters in my experience are some of the only classes in the game that can play fully in the middle of the arena and never (or much more rarely) line of sight caster damage. They can fully disrespect casters and just train all game with no fear. I feel like that’s kind of silly.
I have to line and kite on Frost DK, yet I watch Warriors full zugging all game like it’s nothing.
It’s funny because you could legitimately sample the complaints dating back to SL about melee being oppressive, line up the aggressors and majority of the time the abused caster is going to point to the warrior
Yeah the S tier specs just actually need meaningful tuning. Like if you tried to buff lock what could you even touch? Only think I could think of is some QoL changes for demo and maybe destro
Kennie is correct though, it’s just all physical damage and the full shutdown abilities against locks right now.
Last 3 lobbies for today,
WW Monk, MM Hunt, Outlaw
Ret, DH, Arms
Fury, Arms WW Monk
I pulled 1-2 wins out of each but I’ve just dropped from almost 2100 to the 1900s now. Been playing lock for decades so I’m decent at fake casting, CC, porting, using obstacles to slow and run around. There is so much immunity to slows and stuns and so many classes can simply leap and port to chase the lock up a platform. TBH, I’d be fine with 2 healer, 2 caster, 2 physical damage in each lobby. The current state is unbearable. I love playing warrior but hadn’t planned to do that until later this season. I guess now is the time while it’s broken!
Since caster loses to hunter. Caster should counter melee. This should be at least class based. MM counters mage, Mage counters Warrior. MM counters any cloth actually, mage should counter any melee. This would balance the population and the games. People would not just roll zug.
