“just go disc”
“can you go disc?”
“have you tried disc?”
“but disc is sooo much better though”
“lol holy”
Come on Beta Holy Priests, we aren’t seeing much feedback in comparison to our other specs on the beta forums from you guys. We don’t want a repeat of bfa

You’d be having better luck sending messages to Ion on twitter. He’s a fan of stuff in google docs format.

Holy is looking to have some unique tools, in pvp anyway. The DH style fly up in the air move is particularly intriguing. I’m excited to play around with each of the specs.
If you prefer Holy then play holy. Prove the nay sayers wrong

One: patience, and two, learn to do some research and or think for yourself.
Sadly our only most famous holy priest content creator (Automatik Jak) drop from maining holy priest and now mains Disc and MW monk.
I mean he stills main all healers but when you go watch him on stream he only plays Disc or MW monk

So let me ask you this, as an advocate for holy and a prominent member of the priest forum community. What do you think is needed?
From what I can tell holys output is okay, the real problem is their lack of identity. They don’t bring anything unique to a raid. What do you think they need to bring them to par with other healers?
People tend to fixate too much on what classes bring to the table instead of what good people can do with those classes. I’ve seen memes 150% mastery stacking Holy Priests that do like 50-60% of their raid healing with Echo of Light and outheal everyone in the raid by like 10mil at the end of fights. I don’t think any healer ingame could even compete on that level.
Hellokyu is the most popular holy streamer though.

The thing is if you stack that much mastery you’re pretty useless for m+ content. But still meta isn’t around healing but utility + dmg so meh.
I don’t feel the holy spec for priests is completely garbage but I think is lacking some tools compared to other healers.
Well, since we are the throughput healing spec, havin an “okay” output is just disappointing when other healers have “okay” output too but still bring a lot of utility and damage.
I’m okay being the throughput healer because I don’t like to do dmg but if you’re not gonna give us dmg and utility at least give us tons of healing options.
Some talents in our build are pretty much useless or mandatory (Afterlife, Feather).
The legendaries that are introduced in SL are quite bad.
So yea not saying the holy priest is unusable but is lacking quite a bit.
I like her but she is not at the same lvl as what Automatik jak is.
output is not okay. its only “okay” in raids, but every other healer has “okay” or better output. M+ and arena the output is bad, because mastery becomes useless and direct heals are scarce and weaker than every other healer
Mastery pretty much falls off in usage once you’re pushing higher keys (or arena) because versatility is just better. I’d love to have a set like you have… 50% versatility yum yum.
At the end of the day, you can’t bring anything more to the table than what your class does. You can certainly bring less, but Blizzard can’t fix that. And right now, other classes are bringing more.
Disc complain about holy
holy complain about disc
“Penguins in the North Pole hear the South Pole is really nice this time of year “
Holy is a good healer. The illusion of it not being good is just your perception. Player skill makes up for a lot more. Knowing your spec makes up for it even more so.

Problem is thats only possible with corruptions. When stats even out disc healing numbers barely change and Holys numbers plummet. That why utility buttons are brought up so often. If you aren’t #1 on the meters, if your healing spells get gutted, what ELSE do you bring? Holy’s answer is nothing (or nothing that disc doesnt also bring alongside barrier)
I hate to break it to you, but I feel like Disc isn’t just easier to play, but offers more options. They really need to tweak the whole “Holy Word” feature of the spec to make it more competitive. And, um, have you ever TRIED to play Disc? It plays like a DPS with more CDs and you have to keep Atonement up on targets. Come over to the semi-dark side man. You’ll love it. Now, if you excuse I have some 11 year old Lady Gaga music videos to watch on repeat.
I agree with most but not a holy priest rework. I think the Holy Word feature is fine, the healing of holy is great! I really think, Holy is just missing a Niche. The utility they do have, is shared by disc. Outside of that, they just… heal. That’s it. They HAD Hymn of Hope, that restores 8% of current mana to healers - but shamans got a totem with half the cooldown and restores MAX mana. Sigh.
Paladins - Damage reduction aura, bop, freedom, immunity for soaks
Druids - Battle rez, shortest cd ST-DR, Innervate, Mass Entangle
Monk - Mystic Touch, Ring of Peace, freedom(talented)
Disc - Barrier, Strongest cd ST-DR
Shamans - Spiritlink, temporary hp(talented), wind rush(talented), mana tide
Almost all of the things above are good enough that a raid leader may want one just to have it available for the raid as a whole. This is especially true when all the healers heal similar amounts - which is usually true these days. If a Hpriest can’t outheal everyone else, they fall flat. It needs utility, a niche, ANYTHING that a raid lead would want. Holy Priest just doesn’t have that right now. They need something new and UNIQUE to them and only them - something that isn’t just more healing. Something no other healer can bring, and definitely something Disc can’t bring, for them to “competitive” and not hear the old age “why don’t you just switch to disc” comments.

What am I reading?? Holy has been bottom of the barrel for m+ all expansion, trash in PvP barring one broken aspect in GHeal spam in 2s, and mediocre at best in raiding. I’m fine with healing specs being good at different content, but you need to look at the big picture. Mistweaver is the other long suffering spec, but at least they are great in PvP and good in m+. Holy just does not have a niche.
If they’re not going to give Holy some sort of crazy utility reason to bring them along, they need to get a massive numbers boost to make up for it. Spamming flash heal for 5% then dropping serenity on CD for 20% is not good gameplay. I’d rather they just scrap the Holy Word mechanic and start over, but that’s wishful thinking. I have a bad feeling HPriest will be overlooked for yet another expansion and all the serious players will stick with Disc.

In WoW you’re judged by your own individual capabilities and not what class you’re playing. If somebody is doing 50k dps and everyone else is doing 100k dps than that person is judged by their lack of performance. If their excuse is “its muh class bro” they’ll get laughed at and probably not invited to the group again. It’s the same attitude with healers and tanks.
BFA M+ season 4 comes to a close next week on the pre-patch and I managed to grind up to a 2.5k io as holy in that short period of time I came back in August. I was hoping to push up higher to like 3k+ and into 20s, but time isn’t on my side. I’ll try next season.

I hope your argument isn’t that the best holy priest players in the world are just significantly worse players than all the other classes. It’s just laughable. Some level of imbalance is fine, this level of imbalance is not.
