I don’t know if it’s considered an actual mmorpg, but Genshin Impact is a pretty amazing game on mobile. It’s free by the way, and from what time I have played it, I didn’t see anything that required me to spend real money.
The best way to describe the game is Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The gameplay is a lot like that game. In so many ways that I have been almost waiting to see if the makers of Zelda sue. The game is extremely similar with a different story and characters of course. But for a mobile, I was amazed at how good that game is.
They really need to add more to the companion app. At the very least you could have like pet battles, profession stuff, maybe even ah access.

It might be worth a shot to at least see if your phone can handle it. The file size of the game is pretty big for a mobile game. At least I think so. It’s almost 3 GB.
If your current phone can’t handle it well, when you get an upgrade Genshin Impact would definitely be one worth trying. I have downloaded tons of mobile mmo’s. So many are just the same type of thing and nothing great. Very few do I think are that great at all and very, very few impress me. I now expect most games I try on mobile to not be very good lol. Or that they auto play themselves, which I completely hate. It seems too many do that.
On second thought, there is another you might want to try. Black Desert Online Mobile is actually quite good also. I was shocked at how it was just like the pc version pretty much. Most mmo’s that end up making a mobile version ends up being quite different and not so great. Black Desert Online was actually pretty good.

To be honest, I legitimately love the commercials. I’d watch the hell out of a sitcom about the married orc couple and their co-worker death knight just living in a normal world.
It’s one of those things where you send a team of 5 dudes out and watch them beat up an army. IIRC you can control who they target and when they use their big moves, but it’s intended to be one of those “clear 10 levels without paying too much attention during your lunch break” kind of deals.
I play Ragnarok Online on mine. It’s not a bad little game for what it’s worth.
