Phoenix Wishwing - Able to purchase the items again but cannot turn in the quest

I assume this is intended to not be able to turn in the quest again. one problem however, you can still purchase the phoenix ash talisman.

I refarmed the items, all the inert ash, sacred ash, and got a 2nd glittering ember on the same character. I turned in my first quest for the phoenix wishwing to tarijin the blind when the first cataclysm timewalking came out for dragonflight. Since the phoenix ash talisman was still purchasable after the quest turn-in, I thought it’d be a repeat for another pet. I was wrong.

I put in hours to refarm all these items just to have my time wasted. Is this a bug? Is this intended? Why can I still purchase the phoenix ash talisman after the 1st phoenix wishwing quest turn-in (Tale of the Phoenix)?

So glad you posted this! I was wondering if I could farm for a 2nd one and didn’t want to begin that marathon until I knew for sure. Following this for the answer. So sorry you put in all that work only to have issues claiming it.

sadly i cant return the tale of the phoenix on my same character i feel so confused atleast farmed 5 character in long hour day and 2 more character pick up
