Phoenix flames and scorch gone?

Exactly!!! This toon is 703 ilevel and 6/8 heroic manaforge. Now that i know whats gonna happen i dont even want to play anymore. Its like all the enjoyment just got sucked out of the game for me.

Now ill just roll alts and pay a guild 200k for aotc in a few months.

Dawg there’s no way the ipad kids will ever touch this game lol even Fortnite is having retention issues and you can be Gojo Satoru piloting a Mechazord shooting lazers as Sabrina Carpenter. WoW is too complex of a game to out slop tiktok and other forms of easy dopamine.

I prefer to believe there’s hope they will. Marketing is a powerful tool and so is word of mouth. Make the game approachable enough and you’ll get people to stick around and find the fun the oldheads found years ago too.

Fwiw Ion did say they’re committed to keeping content difficulty around what we’re used to. If big buttons feel good to press and the rotational difficulty is moved over to the content that now won’t have addon help I’m at least interested to see how that feels.

Yea… think I’ll be skipping this exp

Or they might just ruin the game with nothing to show for it.

Also Fortnite and other games while “simpler” on a concept basis, mechanically are very difficult.

So this idea that people just want simple games, I doubt the validity of this statement

It’s definitely a gamble!

I want scorch back though. I hate being an immobile turret.

Personally I like classes that fish for procs and I like that my fire mage can build crit again. I liked the machinegun playstyle, too, but it wasn’t really the fantasy of fire mage itself that I like. I prefer my big moves to hit really hard.

You do you boo boo

My mage is shelved for midnight. Going rogue for the expansion. Me and valeera will be best rogue buds.

They did this to fire in BfA, and that’s when haste became the go-to stat. Less instants means that haste is gonna be at a premium. I loved crit fire in Legion, but this aint the way that’s gonna be a thing again.

Haste is already a premium, without it you may as well go frost. I honestly hate the mage changes and swapping to rogue for midnight.

In general I agree with Rale. Tho I’m really annoyed at the dog pile he had to deal with.

The simplicity will evolve as the alpha goes on. The best we can do is give feedback and voice our concerns. Blizzard has a plan, they’ve said they’re open to adjusting their class designs based on feedback. So give it. If the FINAL changes still don’t align with what you want, there are lots of specs and or games out there to play.

Keep a weathered eye on the alpha, blue posts and the forums. Keep talking about what’s good and bad. But leave the attacks at the door.

I appreciate it but I can’t say I’m not used to it either. People get mad if you’re a fence sitter and they get mad when you say what you really think too. You can never win a lot of the time so I just say what I believe. I appreciate your reason.

My ultimate point is that all we can do is voice our opinions on design choices. None of us have control over what blizzard will ultimately do. But what little we can do, we should.

Very well said Sonson. Thats all we can do. Voice our opinions on design choices. Its up to blizzard if they want to listen or not.

Fire looks blend, boring and slow.

Casting fireball should be faster.

I really want to know how fire is going to be played in pvp with no Scorch and Phoenix Flame.
