Yes here in the philippines they usually prioritise foreign delegates during events at our expense. But my issue is extreme when I get sent to US servers so do not Know if converge or US server is the one causing the bottlenecks

Your tests look like its a combination between level 3 and your ISP. Have have issues that stat within your ISP’s network and get worse as they progress down the trace,

Some of these tests appear to be a different issue, as far as I can tell. Northernlite/Darthvixen figured out the issue for Darthvixen. Most of the rest of you are having issues midway through your connection test.

Typically I’d split this off into multiple threads, but I have a suspicion that even if Darthvixen fixes their issue, they may run into the issue the rest of you are having. I wonder if an alternate connection like a VPN works around each of your issues?

I’m also from the Philippines, using Globe. this happened around May this year up to now
my normal latency is around 155-170 before. rn its going 190-1kms+ depending on which realm i am getting phased.
And its getting less desirable for us since we didn’t feel any changes everytime we logon

ISP is PLDT ADSL which resyncs like old faithful every 42~78ish minutes, but on top that there is ridiculous network saturation typical of when tourists like myself are in town:

Hey folks,

The reports of this seem to have slowed down some, though there are some reports of a submarine cable being down in your area for a while now. The most recent posts have all had different issues.

In your case, themooness, you have major network saturation around hong kong. You’d need to talk to your ISP about this and probably use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to work around it. Because of where this problem is, we can’t help with it as it has something to do with the transfer of data across the ocean and that’s completely in the hands of ISPs in your area.

You do that by going to a Blizzard site. https://us-looking-glass.battle.net

It will run a traceroute from blizzard to your end.

my realm, frostmourne is not on the list =(

my realm, Terokkar, isn’t on the drop down list either. i use Alexstrasza instead, which my realm is connected to.

doesn’t look like any Oceanic realms are on the list.

This is correct, we do not currently have a reverse traceroute tool for oceanic realms. However, a reverse traceroute should be unnecessary as the problem is on the way to our servers rather than from. The issues all show in your winMTR tests. You should forward those to the ISP if you haven’t yet.

If they need any information from us they should contact our peering department for it. We in customer support have some limits to the tools we have access to, but our Peering department may be able to run the traces they need.
