This trinket ranks very high for my DK (Unholy) on Bloodmallet, but when I sim it, its barely an upgrade if at all over my two trinkets. Does anyone have experience using this trinket? It seems underwhelming compared to its ranking.
From my vault, I can choose between 213 Haste/Mastery boots (upgrade over 184), or a 210 Phial of Putrefaction. Just wanna see if any other DKs have used it, and if its actually any good in practice.

I’ve used it, and assuming you are hitting things, the DoT stays up with 3 stacks (after ~10 seconds of smacking it) until the thing dies.
Depending on your trinkets, it may not be a massive upgrade, but it’s always active. Use trinkets have to be factored with their CD. A use that does 8K looks nice, until you see the 1.5 - 2 minute CD.
May help to post which trinkets you have currently.
Just keep in mind what it actually does and you’ll be fine with it. It has 10s after the first application where the dot needs to ramp and 30s can be an awfully long time for mobs to stay alive for the damage to fully tick, so It’s definitely weighted towards being a trinket intended for bosses.
