Phasing issues getting progressively worse

Seriously wondering what, if anything, Blizz is intending to do about the rampant phasing issues. Happened to me yesterday in some instanced content and at first it was funny, seeing 3-4 people and me downing a boss (when it was really a full raid), but now it happens out in world content too (not just a dedicated instance.

Just did the 3 world bosses in Tan, and same thing happened again - and chat was full of people saying they couldn’t see anyone else or getting outright phasing error messages and so on. And other people are saying they are playing in empty towns - no NPCs or other players? Thankfully THAT hasn’t happened to me yet, but once the NPCs go, there’s really no point sticking around.

Sigh… at this rate, by Tuesday, we’ll probably all be playing in a void…

I always hear people complaining about bugs with expansions and updates, yet, never really experienced them myself up until now. The bugs really are rampant in TWW.

Something is clearly borked with phasing and porting players, reports include:

Portals to Stormwind dumping players in the ocean. These can be portals at the event in Tanaris or mage portals (maybe more, those I’ve experienced).

Upon zoining into an instance, the player is invisible / out of phase to the rest of the party or other party memebers are invisible / out of phase to the player. Occurs in dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds.

Players logging into or porting to zones such as the anni event or the DK starter area report being phased into an empty version all alone, sometimes with and sometimes without the relevant NPCs.

Portal to UC dumps players in dead phase of UC, killing them, and many times after rezzing in Trisfal, Zindormi (phase change NPC) is not present, locking players from old UC where Hallows End vendors and dailies are for Horde.

When ported to Oribos from the SL introduction skip or when completing the maw introduction and clicking the portal, players are sent to a phase of Oribos where the quest does not complete and the follow up does not trigger, leaving them in a version of Oribos with no FP master, no campaign quests, most NPCs missing or in the wrong location, no access to maw.

This isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.

Kind of fits the theme with the Nerubians but is still unacceptable.

I have yet to experience any other than the currency transfer lag.

Back in the day, for the LK release zombie event, I’d have believed it. But not now - people are entirely too soft for that kind of thing these days. Clearly shows they’ve never succumbed to the plague just to get reinfected, die, rez, and get ganked, again, for HOURS in Goldshire  Oh how I miss those days, when the shenanigans were cheeky and fun… not whatever this is now (ok, just kidding, it wasn’t great back then either, but at least it was kind of expected).

I have at least two characters stuck in the Legion starter quest phase in Durotar, seemingly permanently. They can’t talk to an NPC to skip it (because they already did) or use the ship to complete the scenario (because they skipped it). I couldn’t do ram racing for Brewfest on them this year, and chances are never will be able to again. No thanksgiving even for these characters either, or anything else that takes place directly outside Orgrimmar.

And a character stuck in Oribos.

It had a phasing issues in Orgrimmar this morning. Everyone but myself kept disappearing.

That’s what I said - until it started happening to me yesterday. It seems like a cascading effect that just keeps getting worse, so I’m opting for solo play for now, running some old content, chasing rep I never got around to before while the anniversary rep bonus is active.

I had this issue yesterday summoning a set of Blingtrons in town. Each one briefly appeared, and poof! they were gone! Each time I put one down, it disappeared. Very spooky.

Makes me wonder if its part of the Hallow’s End holiday stuff.

But no, most likely yet another bug.

/moo :cow:

Yep. Just after our characters are unraveled by the space time continuum and we’re told they can’t recover anything but one pixel.

phasing was so bad yesterday. half my group at the world bosses couldn’t be seen.

zeppelins were also phasing which was… weird. You could hear them, they’d be announced, but you couldn’t get on.

had to actual google how to get to kazzak because hell if i knew lol!

(for horde, go to UC then take the stranglethorn port at the zep tower between UC and Brill. also try not to get into actual UC if you haven’t done that old questline or you’ll have a bad time)

Wouldn’t surprise me one bit >.<
