Been Searching the forums for a bit now, and I cannot find an answer. Will they reset phase releases? Like … opening AQ for 6 months then go through the re-opening again later on down the road ? So progression would be :
Phase 1 - 1-2 months
Phase 2 - 1-2 months
Phase 3 - 1-2 months
Phase 4 - 1-2 months
Phase 5 - 1-2 months
Phase 6 - 1-2 months
Then return to Phase 1 … if someone was coming to the classic game later and wanted to experience the opening of AQ or Naxx, they’d have missed it.
Not sure how it would work with progression guilds already in Naxx.

Or even just having the Opening events recycle… That would be a way of keeping things a little fresher and something to keep trying for, like the Darkmoon faire showing up once a month. Yeah I guess #NoChanges.
I think the phases will all be longer than 2 months. Phase one especially I think will have to last at least 3 months or MC will become irrelevant before most of us ever get there.
Also since it is a one way trip, why rush it?

This is exactly what I meant… If they could recycle the Opening events, not necessarily unlocking the content, just having the event.

I see that as well. Although I would not say discredited, more like devalued. On the other hand, how many people still do Darkmoon Faire? Those that are chasing their achievement.
There’s some pretty rare loot in those events. How many times have people tried to get their headless horseman mount?
They may relent at some point, and add “fresh” servers, but that would be a stopgap, not the long term.
This game doesn’t need to be fresh. It just needs to be.
I agree that major events should be accessible to all characters. The great thing is, Blizzard already has tools in place to make that possible. Anyone remember the Angrathar the Wrathgate from Wrath of the Lich King? Phasing allowed them to allow players to experience both the original, pristine gates and then the terrible wreck that occurred after those events.
While I understand that the progress to unlock and open the Gates of AQ was a big complicated process, but I am positive that there are ways (such as having individual guilds progress the unlocking) to implement these monumental and impactful events in a way that is accessible to the entire community, as opposed to those who happen to be online when the event happens.

Oh good googly moogly, if Blizzard does this, I’m so out. My $ is going to Blizzard for the knowledge that Classic is not deleting my progress.
Progress would not be reset … the event would just happen again. how you extrapolated that is something amazing… are you used to getting screwed?
I didn’t interpret your OP as not resetting. If that’s the case. How would the people that are full on into the Phase 6 content be impacted?
Do they have to wait for the phases to cycle back before they can continue?

More like phase 1 will last to 2020, so 4-6 months. But, we have no idea. Blizzard hasnt released a timeline, that im aware of.
