When do we get to fly? I don’t mean mount. I mean fly. It’s nothing but a time waster. I have to phase, then run across an entire area to do a puzzle WQ. This is stupid

Yeah I was about to do that phase diving quest today and noticed the nearest phasing platform was the other side of the dome.
So I get my mount taken from me and told to walk across the dome and go outside to do a bloody puzzle?
What? I need to be phased to do a puzzle? Oh come on.

Oh, is it not a flying mount? I haven’t unlocked it. I have 3 movement speed abilities, native Car Form speed boost, and stealth. Being grounded doesn’t bother me much.

You’re a Druid that can stealth.
You’re also a NE, just run across. Doesn’t matter if you draw aggro, shadowmeld at the destination.
Yes, flying would be more convenient for that particular task. But the instant ports to almost everywhere more than make up for it.
Instant ports that aren’t near the quests so you have to run anyways. Yes…so nice. I’ll take flying

Once you unlock rank 4 of your cloak, you can use ground mounts.

a ground mount is a little more inconvenient than 700% flying when they don’t put phase points near the objective

The rewards for doing the annoying phase diving aren’t even worth it.
No flying in phase diving unfortunately. You can still use glide abilities like the goblin glider or Glide.
Flying is one of the biggest mistakes Blizzard has ever made. Arguably caused the actual RPG elements of the game to slowly wither and die away over the past 15 years because rather than enjoying and exploring the world the players only care about getting from one thing to another as fast as possible.

What I do is fly to a point near the Phase quest then go into Phase.
Another thing, why do all the WQs with Phase Diving (Optional) are the ones that require phase diving? How is it ‘optional’

Havnt you been collecting the pots that give you +250% movement speed in untethered space?
No. I just jumped back in to finish the trading post for this month. I played it on patch date and realized how stupid phase diving was and logged out.
I use the conduits to get around and don’t feel the phasing no-flying pinch too much. Those conduits are everywhere. I have the phase regulator on my action bar and switch out of phasing as soon as I can, so can fly again.
Tbh the whole phase driving thing just a means to an end. I maybe spent two total hours in K’aresh this week upgrading my wraps and doing the phasing quest, that was already 80% done on most toons.
No one gonna care about no flying during phasing in a few weeks. It’s temp content that you can work around.
