Phase 6 Scarabs for AQ GEAR.... did Blizzard do the math?

So my guild has cleared hard mode x2 in AQ40 and we got about 30 scarabs per clear… once you do the math on how many scarabs are needed, you quickly realize the following:

  • 40 raiders in my guild
  • 20 raiders want AQ20 gear
  • 20 x 3 x 10 = 600 scarabs
  • everyone wants AQ40 gear
  • 40 x 4 x 10 = 1,600 scarabs
  • total scarabs needed = 2,200

Also, depending on how many guildies want to upgrade their Signet Rings from Brood repthat’s another 5/10 scarabs needed…
40 x 10 = 400

TOTAL SCARABS needed for our guild to gear out = 2,600

2,600 / 60 drops per week in aq40 = 43 weeks of clearing AQ40 just to get your gear.

yes, we can speed it up in AQ20 farming. But seems a little ridiculous that you need to farm like this for clearing the raid content. We will bleed out players if this is the grind blizzard is asking for… This was supposed to be an “Alt” encouraging experience…

sometimes you get more keys, sometimes you dont. Your math is flawed.

please come back when you’ve done a full clear of AQ40 and you’ve counted how many scarabs you have and how many raiders got Tier 2.5 gear.

Just look at the prices of the scarabs and idols, something is NOT right. I have 6 AQ drops across my toons and I cant turn any of them in because it would be like 5K gold to get the scarabs and idols. Feels great getting a drop and not being able to turn it in.
