Phase 2 makes no sense

It would make more sense to release battlegrounds without an honor system, than to release an honor system without battlegrounds.

Am I crazy in thinking this?

Do you understand what world pvp is

Azeroth is the greatest battle ground of all

No. You aren’t crazy. You’re just missing context. Likely from having not played during that time period yourself.

The importance of this release without BGs is historical. It created a specific, vibrantly active conflict state for the world back then. The goal is to simulate that time period somewhat.

Hillsbrad is the phase 2 battleground

Just as it was in vanilla

“vibrantly active conflict state”

LMAO I love how understated, and positive you make it sound. No hint what so ever of the impending horror, gank fests, camp fests, and zergs in certain zones that is on its way.

haha I really love that phrase

Yeah it’s certainly going to be a nightmare for anyone who hasn’t hit 60.

Oh Azeroth will be a warzone.

And thats exactly what a majority of us want

I know…… and I think Im gunna be one of the poor fools whos not 60 by then. I was quite stupid for leveling three diff characters at once darn it!

LOL I have 10, including 2 bank alts

Remember guys, in all out warfare both sides are supposed to only attack those that can defend themselves with equal numbers at times that they are prepared.

Awww okay that makes more sense. I didn’t start playing until Wrath came out, so I didn’t have the context that this was authentic to the Vanilla experience.

The reason it makes no sense to me, is because I’m on a pvp server that seems more like a PVE server given faction imbalance. Based on the sentiment I have heard on the forums it seems like I’m not alone in this. Though it sounds fun having Azeroth be the greatest battleground, I feel it’s going to be a nightmare or extremely boring depending on what side of faction balance you are on.

That’s why I was a fan of Battlegrounds coming out first because it provides people who like pvp a significantly more balanced playing field. Additionally, I know a lot of people are complaining about the rushing of phases and being able to level at their own pace…so I thought this would be a good middle ground to give people who rushed and who are taking their time something to do/not worry about it.

Just my 2 cents…but again #nochanges I suppose. Just seems like faction balance on a pvp server will always be a pipe dream.

Open World Pvp, was a very big part of vanilla WoW. So if you did not experience that first hand, it would leave you pondering like you are.

That’s what some people want from PvP. The idea of being ganked and camped makes them happy (of course when it actually happens they froth at the mouth but that’s beside the point)

I’m sticking around to see what the game is like after honor is added but I suspect it’s going to do the same thing it did 15 years ago: remove any trace of nuance to interactions with the other faction and incentivize dirty tactics in the name of “honor”

Vibrant kek

More like lowbie genocide as level 60 death squads comb the 50’s leveling areas to farm honor

Yeah, it’s going to be rough time for level 48-59 players. Heck, even for level 60s without an epic mount.

Like Germany should have waited until Poland was ready.

You are a normal biased player. You are only interested in honor in battlegrounds. You don’t do WPVP, so you don’t care about it.

But 2/3 of the servers are PVP servers. So a huge number of players think differently than you – they want honor from WPVP, not from battlegrounds.
