Has anyone tried this game? Looks interesting to me especially since I played dreamcast back in the day and remember as a kid seeing the first game, always looked really interesting to me… I’m kind of eager to try it but patch 9.1 just came out and I’m currently invested in WoW quite a bit.

I just started playing PSO2 slightly before the release of the New Genesis expansion, so I haven’t gotten far to give a fair assessment, nor the differences between the old engine and new.
From what I’ve experienced so far, I love the character customization - I rerolled my characters from when I played the Gamecube version with extra aesthetics.
Thr combat is exciting - it reminds me of Guild Wars 2, where you get different abilities when you swap weapons. The variety of classes are fun, not all of them are the usual cookie-cutter fantasy stuff. There’s additional mechanics for timed and chained attacks for extra damage. You can also now do air combos.
Visiting different NPCs on the ship, there seem to be a variety of ways to gain XP, in addition to following the main story.
I’m enjoying myself but that’s all I can say for now until I go further.
