Why is it ok that prot cleanse is 10% mana? Prot being able to go oom is already questionable enough, but cleanse toxins being a significant and noticeable mana expenditure feels awful. At the very least if my target is sniped can I get a mana refund? Apologies if this is a common complaint and already has a thread up and I didn’t see it.
lol im used to drinking mana after huge pool or at least i drink when i know the healer will drink LOL.
Just wait for the prot god to come and tell you you are doing something wrong for going oom amd prot is just fine
Heres a crazy take, tanks shouldnt be able to go oom ever.
Prot doesnt have any mana there o ly downtime is when they run out of rage which they generate in combat.
Dk doesnt go oom they got resources that regenerate in combat.
Monk dont go oom
Bear form is fine
Why is paladin the only tank that can go oom? Other classes have self healing so why should prots be weird
It’s a price for being a pretty tank.
Priests don’t need training they have faith.
Paladins have faith and training yet it makes them worse somehow.
Well, DHs have to poke their eyes out alive, and deform themself in exchange for magic power. All you need to do is to sing “oh my light” and baam, here is your magic. You have no right to complain, pinky.
I always thought their eyeballs melted out of the sockets.
Well, you can always look up the lores or watch the legion harbringer video again
Legion was the last expansion this game was good. No need to open old wounds.
Classic legion is coming soon.
The only thing that made Classic “Classic” , was the brief period there wasn’t any flying. World PvP felt amazing. People were having fun. Then the bottom fell out.
Well, different people, different tastes.
Sod still has a place for world pvp lovers. In modern wow, you can always turn warmode on for world pvp, there are weekly quests and a lot of skirmish quests involving to world pvp. If most people felt it fun then you would definitely find majority of players playing with warmode on. But personally, classic world pvp is more griefing than real pvp to me. Only fair and square arenas, rated BG can be called pvp.
How many arenas can you fly in?
Because, while an option, Blizzard has decided that a tank with infinite poison/disease dispel isn’t within the scope of their intentions for the role. Likewise for WoG costing mana (to prevent a tank from massively healing others).
The main issue, which I feel prevents Prot Paladin from doing their role as well as they should, is that they can’t WoG themselves without going OOM as well. At the very absolute minimum, their “free” WoGs (free from Holy Power cost) should also be free from mana cost.
That seems incredibly stupid considering other tanks with cleanses have no such issue. Monk has the same dispel as paladin and has no such penalty.
Monk is the exception. Paladin and Druid both blow through mana quickly with their dispel. Those are the only three.
Monks don’t care because their dispel uses Energy, not mana. Druids don’t care because they tank with Rage and don’t have much other use for the mana besides dispel, since Dream of Cenarius gives them a free/instant regrowth and they have other forms of healing. It’s fine that Paladin dispel costs mana, they just need a way of getting emergency self-healing without always having that mana available.
I can’t speak for Templar, but if you are Lightbringer and going OOM then you are doing something wrong.
They should just make a passive for prot and ret to where auto attacks restore a small bit of mana. It would still have a cap on how much you could do in the short term, but allow you to regenerate over time.
I was more pissed to learn WOG cost mana. Much to my surprise when early in the expac and devles were whooping everyone I went OOM from WOG casts and died. Then I checked my spell book and that WOG cost a bazillion mana.
