just a heads up that PetTracker addon seems to be unsupported now but there’s a better option.
I’m using " Battle Pet Completionist" addon now and it dose the same thing and more.
heres the features
Features

  • Displays the locations of all pets.
  • Filter the list of pets shown (in the options dialog)
  • Updates the tooltip for pets in the auction house (and pet cages in general), to show the source of the pet.
  • Create TomTom waypoints by shift clicking a map pin.
  • Work together with your party to capture pets (see Teamwork below).

I use this when shoping on the AH to see the source of the pets there and also for pet id

Why do you say that? Jaliborc is always slow with PetTracker. Possibly because of all the data that has to be added from the new zones, that often isn’t finalized untol late.

Until I hear otherwise, I expect an update Soon™-ish.

Ofc, a new pet addon is always of interest. I’m trying the addon Pet Collector myself, which is in development by one of the Discord members.

Sounds interesting. I haven’t used either one of those…how well do they work with Rematch and BattlePet Breed ID? Or would it be bloat with all of them?

Well, Pet Collector covers much the same ground as Pet Tracker, with the addition of a screen that lists today’s opportunities to get Charms and Blue Stones from WQ.

And from what I gather, Battle Pet Completionist covers pretty much that same ground.

So there isn’t really much overlap.

If you look at the overall pet gameplay, you’ve got

  • Acquisition, Wild (Pet Tracker, these new ones)
  • Acquistition, Drops and other
  • Breed Display (Battle Pet Breed ID)
  • Roster and Team Management (Rematch)
  • Battle (Derangement’s, Pet Tracker’s modules, Battle Pet Battle UI Tweaks)

Thankfully it has. I tried Battle Pet Completionist, but I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t hide the pets I’d already collected on the map. Or, at least, I couldn’t figure out how to do that.

Is there a way to turn the map icons on and off when you need to? I don’t want my map constantly cluttered by them all the time. Only when I’m looking for certain pets.

If I recall correctly, you can configure which wild pet icons show on the map. I haven’t used it in a while (since I got all of DF’s wild pets relatively early, and then the addon stopped working), but I’m pretty sure the icon display can be filtered by the name of the pets, at least.
