Does anyone know what is happening with the Petopia website? It’s been a few days and I can’t connect to it. As a hunter Petopia has been invaluable to me.

The creator of the site passed away early last year. it wouldn’t surprise me if the person who took over the day to day finally had enough. It’s a HUGE site and I can only imagine the upkeep it needs. I used that site a TON back in day and I’d be sad to see it actually end, but all things eventually do.

Hi all,

I’m aware that Petopia and Warcraft Mounts are currently down. This doesn’t appear to be related to disruptions earlier this week, but rather our host is simply down. I’ve contacted our host provider but he’s currently away and it may be a while before services are restored. My apologies :sad_but_relieved_face:

Yes, that is exactly what happened. It is under new ownership now, privacy protected registration. It does resolve to a host, but the host is not acepting connections.

I bet that it is just a misconfiguration and that it will be up again soon.

It still is, I’m not aware of any other source regarding hunter pets that is as detailed or easy to use.

At best you can do, which is what i did, is going in the warcraft wiki page, and going trough the beasts and beasts as pet to look for the models, that sends you to the wowhead link so you can see the coordinates

Until their host is back up and running, you can use Internet Archive (archive. org).

Select Web Sites from the Search dropdown and search for “petopia”.

Unfortunately, the Game Version dropdown doesn’t work and searching for Classic versions of petopia on Internet Archive does not yield results, but the Retail version of the site is available.
