Considering it competed against GoSup and GoServ, it was a suboptimal and baffling option.
MM hunters have been good since vanilla with ridiculous aimed shot crits pet or not.

Having an opinion is fine. The problem is their opinion is unpopular and we don’t want our class to be a scuffed arms warrior
But there was actually a point when the class was the actually class and not the pets who was just our helper, now we are helpers to all the pets and it makes the actually class feel like we do nothing aside from support our pets to do the damage we used to do
Undead minions, disease and deathcoils is the unholy fantasy. If you want to drop the pet frost and blood are both great options
Yeah look back when I played death knights we had more than 1 Dot for unholy, we had a Gargoyle and a ghoul, our death coils didn’t hit like wet noodles, our scourge strikes didn’t hit like wet noodles
We actually felt like plague bringing unstoppable forces of death rather than the limp worsted ghoul pimps we currently play
There is nothing wet noodle about unholy dks, we are S-Tier DPS

True but 9.1 looks promising and being S-tier and in every form of content in one spec would be a bit much

There is a difference between dps, and how hard something hits. When someone says this that and that other thing hits like a wet noodle when they use to not, doesnt actually mean that the dps is going to suck. If you took away the perma pet and army ghouls, the DK itself would feel weak as can be, Demo is a much more extreme example of this with the Tyrant. The warlock does less than 10% of the specs overall damage output.
