Because with an AOE cap of 8, that isn’t a storm of steel.
Until it gets an AOE cap of at least 20, it needs to be renamed Bladeniceweather.

Wait, only hitting 8 people isn’t a storm of steal? I mean I guess if you are using a wooden club.
Bladedrizzle!
Literally no one in the history of WoW ever thought “Man, I wish my Bladestorm hit less targets. It’s too satisfying.”.
You are only pretending to like it because you are a fanboy. The AOE cap is objectively bad, it’s an unnecessary change and a lazy way to balance the game.
No, I am making fun of you for think “only” hitting 8 people is not a storm.
i disagree… try joining 30 people around you (in real life) and then pick 2 sticks and start rotating yourself just like bladestorm.
After 10 seconds ask the 30 people if all of them got hit by your bladestorm.
This would be an interesting scenario to watch unfold IRL.
I also highly doubt that Blizz took this into account when making the change.
Imagine there is a crowd of 20 people in an empty field with no cover, and it starts storming, and only 8 of them get wet or even feel a breeze. That’s a pretty weak storm.
Imagine thinking that you fighting a group of 20 people and able to just spin like a top through them. You want to complain about AOE cap? I’m cool with it. You want to try and start pretending ONLY hitting 8 things at a time is not some heroic master feet? Nah I am going to make fun of that.
This is a fantasy video game. I’ve been doing that for the last dozen years, along with jumping dozens of yards and other feats of ridiculous athleticism.
Sure and now you can’t. Still a storm of blades (unless you are not using blades).
I still don’t believe you agree with the AOE cap changes, unless you are one of those selfish and competitive people playing a class with no AOE cap.
Yeah, hi, Shaman here. a bladestorm of 8 is commensurate with what Blizzard understands a storm to be.
i personally like it more if we are talking about rpg thing…
Usually in my role-playing games people try to put realism+fantasy together otherwise its just creates holes everywhere.
For example, it makes sense for mage blizzard to hit everyone since there´s no reason why not, its like rain.
Says the Death Knight, the only class not impacted by the AOE cap.
So what other class comes close to hitting 8 dudes every second in a flurry of steel?
says the death knight who plays 3 mains and 2 of them got hit by the aoe cap
But you are also a DK…
Demon Hunters dashing through unlimited targets with no cap, monks Whirlwind Dragon Punching unlimited targets with no cap.
Bladedrizzel is better
