I genuinely like the idea of the dev team trying to include totems again for the Shaman class because of class identity and well to be fair this is how it should be.
However I think currently Tranquil Air totem has no place as a Capstone Totem with Stoneskin Totem.
While Enhancement brings a party buff such as Windfury Totem, Elemental and Resto do not and to be fair the fix already exists; it’s Skyfury Totem.
In active retail Skyfury Totem is a party wide totem that has a cooldown of 40 seconds and buffs damaging and healing spell crit by 20% every 15 sec. If the devs feel that the current iteration is too strong, we can definitely modify this totem to fall in line with what you deem proper.
This is also helps shaman that are not Enhancement bring something class defining and extremely useful to a raid. Imagine an Elemental Shaman able to buff his party during Bloodlust / Heroism Window for 1/4th of it. Imagine a Resto Shaman being able to buff his fellow healers Major CD’s just to give that extra umph when you need it the most.
I think SFT has a place in PVE as a true Capstone that people would choose to take.
Thank you!

just gonna say, it would need significant modifications to work in PVE. 20% bonus crit would be massively too strong in pve.
Probably much better to have Skyfury back rather than that useless Tranquil Air, which would only be used in PvP.
Just make it give back 5% extra crit chance as it once did.
This is inaccurate. Resto has healing tide and spirit link. Those are unique enough to count like Windfury counts towards ENH.
In reality, skyfury should be added as a capstone in the center of the elemental tree.
That petition I sign.
thats not comparable.
whats needed is simply Wrath of Air totem for 5% spell haste or Totem of Wrath for spell damage and 3% crit buff.

so you tone it down in PvE, simple.
…how far do you imagine we would need to tone it down before its not busted in pve?
Well since you would get things like Fire Mages thrown into your group could probably make it either a 1:30 CD for 20% or keep it as is/turn it into a 1min CD for 10%. Might not be the most balanced still but would make Ele shamans very desirable if certain specs stay strong.
I would of course take the totems you listed as well.
I think it would just trivialize alot of pve encounters. Especially those with specific burn phases or times when bosses take more damage. Think of Sludgefist. If you have skyfury for every pillar or even every other pillar… that fight is no longer even remotely challenging.
Current pvp talent is:
40 sec cd
15 sec duration
20% crit dmg + healing
If you want something unique for ele in pve environments, bring back totem of wrath. That lasted 2 min (like current windfury) was a +3% crit / +3% hit buff.
Given retail doesn’t care about hit chance anymore, I’d vote you make it:
no cd
2 min duration
+3% spell crit +3% spell crit dmg/healing
Don’t think 3% is going to make or break most encounters. Maybe it needs to be 5%, but either way, something small like that should be ok.

wasnt it spell power too? or was that like cata/mop

I think this is a great and easy way to ensure all the asks from my OP.
Totem of Wrath for PVE and keep Skyfury PVP // Make ToW PVE Only
That was cata/mop.
TBC/wrath it was spell hit and spell crit. Fire totem slot.
They kinda merged wrath of air / totem of wrath later on.

It doesn’t have to be any specific totem. Skyfury, Stormlash, Totem of Wrath, Wrath of Air, adjusted to only affect spell casts and it would feel like an appropriate foil to enhancements melee oriented support. As of right now I’m not particularly compelled to play shaman.
